help was in midst of responding to a discussion when mylot just nixed the whole

if there was something in your response which was wrong (which I have no readon whatsoever to believe would ever be possible) then only your response would go, not the whole discussion. Maybe it was a repeated topic?

You never know why a discussion has been deleted. It could have been for a number of different reasons. and yes it has happened to me a few times. the discussion is their when im typing my response, and when i hit the post response button. everything is gone.

Hi Hatley, no it wasn't anything you did. When you responded to the discussion, it was there but got deleted before you finished your response so that's why the discussion wasn't there. Not from anything you did, no no no. Mylot associates had deleted it before you had finished typing your response is all. Don't worry!!

There was probably something in that person's discussion that either myLot didn't like or that someone else didn't like and they reported it. It just timed perfectly that when you sent your response, there was no longer a discussion to post it to. You did nothing, I'm certain, to cause it. Someone else did that before you. As for the person who said you lied, they can go pound sand, as my dad would have said. I've seen your writings online and I know that you're as honest as they come. So what if there's not many people in their 80s who use the Internet. That doesn't mean they don't and that they can't. And, this site isn't just for the "babies" of the world. It's for everyone everywhere!! Screw them (to be blunt). Their comments are meaningless and not worthy of response.

Hi Hatley, Nope, I don't see anything wrong in that but it seems another dficussion as been delted and I don't know why because there was nothing wrong in that one either, someon having a field day. Tamara

Given the number of posts MyLot have to moderate each day, perhaps the finger slips occasionally - by mistake. Has anyone else considered this?

I have had that happen to me before too. It wasn't you, it was the discussion. For some reason mylot deleted it. I am sure it had nothing to do with you. you just happened to be responding to it when it was deleted.

Well, unfortunately sometimes things like this happen. It could be that myLot removes the discussion just as you are trying to respond back for reasons not always known, or something you posted is not accepted, or sometimes it is just a Glitch in the system here as well. I know personally there are many times when I try responding here, etc. and have issues so usually I just try again and if it still does not work leave here for another time as well.

I do not see anything wrong with your post either. I bet Mylot was already looking at another post in there when you were trying to respond to it. By the time you posted your comment on it, Mylot had already deleted the discussion. I bet that is what happened.

Hi Patsie. I don't see any wrong with your respond. It's just that mylot is faster to delete the discussions than your fingers. lol

I would say that the discussion was deleted just as you responded which is nothing more than a coincidence because it could not have been your post that caused the deletion. These things happen Hatley and can be a bit of a mystery. I’ve had discussions deleted ages ago and to this day I still cannot quite figure out what the problem was even after reading the guidelines again but MyLot have their explanation and are justified in deleting items they deem inappropriate for the site and we are obliged to respect that. By the way I believe your age and I think you are remarkable, wise and yet very young at heart!

it is deleted because the discussion you participated violated some rules, or a repetitive discussion, someone get piss off and it is reported..

From what you say, and the fact that the WHOLE discussion disappeared, as others have said it doesn't sound like its anything you did. I am pretty new here so I don't know if this happens often or what normal protocol is anyway, but I would have thought just YOUR post wouldn't go through if it was anything to do with you. Maybe something to do with the original poster or subject matter, or just one of those weird technical blips?!

I am not understanding the problem, as I do not know what the deleted discussion was about. A discussion that draws particular attention to another user, by name or other identifying remarks is against the guidelines. Your response would not get an entire discussion deleted. There was something wrong in the discussion. You have a lot younger attitude than 83, and I hope to do as well as you do. I believe you though.

i have tried this one once. and i guess i have trouble with my internet connection that time. because when i reset everything. my computer and my internet connection, the discussion is still there. thanks to that. discussions and response do get to be deleted if it affects mylot and violating the rules. but i guess you didnt do any violations in your responses. and maybe, just maybe mylot found out about that discussion quite offensive. so they deleted it. so dont worry friend and smile now... jhelai
