When did you find out the gender?

when i was pregnant,i know nothing about the gender of my baby,but my mother was sure that i would have a boy based the characters of mine,and it is correct.those who have babies always have some experience for making a judge.

Hi maximax. I found out the genders of my kids while I was still pregnant with them. I couldn't wait until they were born! LOL I wanted to be prepared for my babies arrival. With my eldest I found out that I was having a boy when I was 21 weeks along. With my youngest I didn't find out until I was 33 weeks along. I was a little hesitant to find out the second time around as some of my family was saying it was going to be a girl, which I found rather annoying because they didn't even know. Personally, I didn't care what the gender was, so long as the baby was healthy. I got them back good though...I told them I was having a boy before I even found out. Who knew that I'd be right! LOL

I was very excited to find out the gender of my baby when i was pregnant... so the minute i was like 16 weeks expecting... i requested for an ultrasound... that was like the second time... i was so happy to find out i was having a baby girl... and kept that to myself for a few days...

Scanning to find out the gender of the baby is prohibited in our country,India.Since most of the people prefer boy child,they try to abort if they found the child in the womb is a girl.So,the government has prohibited it.Not for that,but I don't want to know the gender of the child when my wife was pregnant.We liked that suspense.Cheers!

Hello max, both my children were surprises, but to be honest gender scans were not so common in those days.

Hello maximax. When my wife was pregnant, we did not find out the gender of our baby, but experienced women could tell about its gender and they were right. In China, it is illegal to scan gender because so many people want to have boys because of the one-child policy, especially in the country. Because they need workforce on the farm. Also their surname is continued if they have boys. It is a complicated explanation though.

I was torn when I found out I was pregnant. On one hand I really wanted to know what I was having so that I could plan appropriately but then on the other hand I kept tellng myself that it didn't really matter as long as he or she was healthy. During one ultrasound the technician stated that she was about 90% positive that it was a girl. I had mixed feelings after she said that because I didnt know yet if I wanted to know or not. Well, it's been 10-1/2 years and I am happy to say that I have a very beautiful, loving daughter that I couldn't be more proud of.

When I was pregnant with our first child, our doctor was 80% sure it was a girl - the couple times that I had a routine ultrasound. This ultrasound was to make sure the baby was healthy - it wasn't just to find out what gender it was. We wanted to know if it was a boy or a girl simply because we wanted to be prepared all we could before the baby was born. We sweated that 10% because we had only picked out girls names, so we were relieved that the baby was indeed a girl when she was born - hee hee!!

Second time around, I had an amniocenthesis done . . . it was not required but recommended for pregnant ladies my age. The ultrasound done just before the amnio showed that it was a boy . . . then two weeks later, the amnio results came back saying the baby was healthy AND that it was indeed a boy. I had another ultrasound since then, and the doctor even said it IS a boy. Again, we wanted to know to prepare . . . and this time we know it is 99.9% a boy.

The important thing was that we knew the baby was healthy.

yeah of course. especially with the first your so exciting and overwhelmed with emotions you want to know. with the second you want to know not really as excited because youve been thru it once already. but you may still have anxiety alittle cause each pregnancy is different. But with both of mine i wanted to know. However, once i realized i was pregnant i began praying right away God please allow me to have a boy. I am a living testament that prayer works I got just what i asked for both times and am very happy.
