E-mail. Do you check your SPAM folder?

Yahoo Mail has a Spam Filter.

It is quite effective, but by no means 100% so. Occasionally I get adverts for Viagra, Cialis, cheap computer software etc in my normal queue.

Then I go and check my Spam queue and find job openings for which I am looking, and other significant mail that I really need for some purpose.

So now I invariably check my Spam mail after checking the normal mail. That way I miss nothing.

Yes i check my spam box sometimes but not in so details.I delete all of my spam mails in every week.Gmail has good service in this case.There spam tracking system is good.I dont know about yahoo.I dont have.But i like google most.

The SPAM folder is only so "smart" as the system is designed to be along with the input that you give to it.

myLot emails are bound to go there and with good reason, because it's some site no one knows or cares about that's seemingly dispatching emails by the dozen to not only you but other people, thus, SPAM.

What's not so much within good reason are personal emails that get ditched in there too. Personally, I use a Gmail account and an older ISP account I had for a long, long time. Gmail typically filters things correctly... the automatic SPAM marking is usually only for emails that have very clear traces of being SPAM material, while anything slightly in doubt goes to the incoming folder. With my other ISP it's not so much like so and instead a decent number of emails hit the SPAM folder, whereas some SPAM is sticking in my inbox. The solution would be in configuring it, but they have the clumsiest of interfaces...

So, yes, on that case I am forced to check the SPAM folder daily or whenever I sign up for something and I have no idea where that email will really end up.

Yes i check the spam folder coz some of the mails from mylot comes in my spam folder automatically.
So i have to check which one is really a spam mail or any notification mail.
But when its not any notification mail, i instantly delte that mail from my spam folder.

Yes, I better too. The Spam folder could have many misdirected mail. I think technology has yet to be improved in terms of mail recognition. Well, you never know. If there are sufficient complaints from users, SPAM folders may be further researched to be idiot-proof.We wait for that day.

To answer your question, YES, i do check my spam folder every few days... cos i have experienced deleting what my friend has sent to me. Same like your case, when he resent, i saw it in the spam box... so since that day, i always look through the spam mails, just in case, something important is there.

Yes, I do check my Spam folder when it says there is mail in the folder. Its weird that Hotmail would send emails from my friends or contacts into that folder. Its not much of a hassle for me. I just delete the obvious spam emails from the folder.

I guess this is one of your biggest comeback topics! I have been checking my spam folder since the first time i had an email. Because some of the messages are sent in spam folder and it might be an important message so i do check it together with my inbox.

I usually check my SPAM folder now because I have discovered that important e-mail from new addresses sometimes ends up there. I learned the hard way by missing an e-mail about a test from a professor.

I have to check my spam folder on hotmail and yahoo. No matter how many times I have added some things to my inbox and white lists, I still get important emails in my SPAM folders. It gets very aggravating at times. More so when it is involved with my job!
