1. maezee (4708) | 4 months ago | I live in a city right now, and I enjoy it, but there are definitely some major downsides, such as crime, pollution, over-industrialization, etc. I've never lived in a "village" (we generally don't have "villages" where I live anyway - we mainly have rural, urban, and suburban areas - rural meaning out in the country/farmland). If living in a village means being far from technology, I guess I would rather not live there. I love technology, and while sometimes I wish life were more simple..well, this is the 21st century we're talkin' about! lol.

2. shia88 (825) | 4 months ago | Dear Phillip,
I am not get used to stay in a village. I was grown up in a metropilitan city and has get used with the lifestyle.
My grandparents is staying in a small village at my town. I used to pay them a visit when they are stil alive. But I seldom overnight that their house as I am not get used to the village lifestyle.
I prefer to stay in high space city with new technologies. Although it may sound stressful, at least time will past faster.
Once a while, I don't mind to visit a village for some fresh air,but to stay in a vilalge for long term, I am not able to make it.

3. Porcospino (2723) | 4 months ago | I live in a village in the countryside, and I like living here. My husband and I moved here about a year ago, and it took me a while to get used to living in the countryside, because I grew up in a city with lots of shops, restaurants, pubs, cinemas, schools, libraries etc. In our village there is a supermarked, but we need to drive to the nearest town if we want to buy clothes, eat at a restuarant or use the library, but it is not a big problem as long as we have a car. Our village is very peaceful compared to the city, there is less pollution, and we live close to the sea. I enjoy living here and I don't miss my life in the city.

4. mansoak (250) | 4 months ago | I like both City life and village life. The one reason for city life is that i can make career . I live in Bangalore, India where this city has improved in infrastructure, more and more IT companies coming . Village life i would prefer only on vacations to relax. Village nature is beautiful. That's the reason i like village life.

5. Weirdology (402) | 4 months ago | I like the idea of both a lot. I've never lived in a big city or a village. I like the idea of living in a big city. I visited one once. There are a lot of things to do. But on the down side they have a lot of violence and crime.
I like the idea of living in a village. Like you, I like nature too. It's very beautiful in these places. There's probably little to no crime. And I don't care much for technoloogy, except for internet access, but I could learn to live without it. But the downside is that there's nothing to do or places to go.
I currently live in a small city. There's nothing to do here and there's a lot of violence and crime. It's like the worst of both worlds. I used to live in a small town. In my country that's the closest you could come to a village. It was the same as where I currently live though. Nothing to do and lots of violence (but not much other types of crimes). Small towns have a reputation for being free of this type of stuff, but that one isn't. Just goes to show you can't judge a place on stereotypes.
I think I would eventually decide to live in a village though. A real village, probably in another country. Though I would research it first to make sure things are as they seem and there's no violence.

7. tundeemma (810) | 4 months ago | life in the city is definitely much more enjoyable than life in a village, however life in the village remains much more secured and pure than life in the city, the life in the city is for hustling and trying to make some money while life in the village is for relaxation and seeing some old folks

10. doryvien (954) | 4 months ago | I grew up in a province and I should say I had a pretty good life there. It was laid-back, fresh air and beautiful refreshing natural sceneries, with a lot of friends and relatives, less pollution and oh yes, no traffic. I live in the city now and this is where I work for a living, and I have actually adapted to the city life quite well. But if I can have my job in the village, I'd still choose to live there because I want an environment that's close to nature - for my kids.
