2. angryeve (187) | 3 months ago | Hi letranknight, haha I was thinking of posting a discussion about that 6 paragraph task. I never tried doing a task simply because the pay is too low and the 6 paragraph task always have either such boring topics or topics I have no idea about. But recently I receive an alert that says they have raised the pay for it. Reaching $4 per write up. And then I thought hey $4 is not that bad for one task, it would only take you a few hours. And if you like writing I guess that's fine.
But I still haven't tried it cause I had a lot of concerns. Like how do I know that they really had no use for the 6 paragraph I've written just in case they have rejected it. And I was bothered with the idea that there are thousands of mylotters who are probably interested of the job, how sure am I that by the time i finish mine, the job is still available...
Anyway, that's too bad that yours was rejected. I'm pretty sure that could be annoying having to spend some time writing that in the first place. As for me, I still don't know if I'll ever do a task.lol

| sanju9t (99) | 3 months ago | hi this task is very boring and less payout. as we write may be their spell mistake or any other mistake it can be rejected so why we waste time on doing these tasks

angryeve (187) | 3 months ago | @letranknight Actually I received an alert saying that the payout for the 6 paragraph task was raised to $4. But when I tried to check it that time, its still $2. lol Weird!!! I never really had the chance to see $4 on it. That's why that task is just getting more and more confusing for me.

angryeve (187) | 3 months ago | @sanju9t Boring??? TOTALLY.. lol I mean just reading the titles makes me wanna sleep already.lol Plus I'm also concern on how they reject a submission. I mean there's just this one spelling error or one sentence that they didn't like?? How they reject some submission is really a blur to everyone..=(

3. princess07031980 (1850) | 3 months ago | We seem to get many alerts informing us of how many tasks are available and the outstanding pay involved. And it is-I suppose-if done correctly, you can earn tons more than merely forum discussing. I like to write, and believe I am fairly good at it grammatically and content wise. I have checked them out in the past to find out I won't take a stab at them and for many reasons.
First of all, I cannot write of things that I am unfamiliar with, and to date, I have not been intrigued by anything in the tasks section. Secondly, I have heard "horror" stories of the rejections-like yours- and how people get frustrated when spending time to ultimately have it be a waste of their time. No thanks-If I am going to waste my time online, I will spend all day playing usless online games-something that is nothing more than entertainemnt.
I don't like getting discouraged, so I will not waste my time on something the chances are very high I will not succeed in.

princess07031980 (1850) | 3 months ago | Well, they are probably selling the tasks writing material by the Mylot members as our pay!! I do check them out constantly though, hoping maybe something I know VERY well and then take a chance-one chance to see how I do. I can't see spending hours of research on a subject you are not familiar with to just earn 3 bucks or whatever.

6. writermom8 (614) | 3 months ago | You are not alone in the sentiment. I tried out two tasks before which would pay a measly 10 cents each. Just wanted to see how it would go before I went any further. Good thing I only spent time doing 2 tasks because both were rejected.
After reading a lot of discussions with people saying they've got tasks approved but also got tasks rejected, I realized there must be a batting average somewhere that I don't know the computation of.
And I can't help but think what really happens when a task creator rejected submissions. What if he/she is just rejecting some to get them done for free? Who's to know if the rejected submissions were even used somewhere or not?
I'm not accusing anyone here but since we don't even know what happens to the submissions after they were rejected, is it so surprising for some people to wonder?
Just thinking/typing out loud ...
Anyway, I no longer try out any tasks because it's a waste of time to exert a lot of effort only to find out that it's all for nothing. I'd rather join discussions and learn from my fellow mylotters or share whatever inputs I could ...

| RachelleNH (88) | 3 months ago | You have all made me feel so much better. I was still dwelling on how I worked so hard on a task-and it was rejected saying it had "many punctuational and grammatical errors." I was ticked...I spent a good hour on it...for nothing. Now I feel better knowing that I'm not alone in that rejection!

|
|
writermom8 (614) | 3 months ago | You're welcome Rachelle. It just sucks to know that there really are a lot of us who have experienced rejection from the tasks when they don't even pay that much anyway:S
