Yes, we can go to church in shorts. But not short shorts that already a way of disrespecting your God as well as Sleeveless both men and women.

well, i never go to church in shorts! specially when its time for worship...
its a holy place for me thus i need to be in proper attire...
with some universities...well i think there are some universities here that they allow their students to wear shorts...

No, I don't go to church wearing shorts. We must wear clothes appropriate for a venue or occasion. But there are universities here which don't require uniforms and thus students wear civilaina clothes. And some students male or female wear shorts to school. Short shorts are not allowed but anyways some still wear them but most teachers don't allow entry of students.
I wore walking shorts to the office once like knee high shorts during Fridays but the boss said otherwise. So, I wore a mini skirt instead because it was really hot and humid. Well, I just got a stare because the policy was no shorts but it did not say so about mini skirts. LOL

No, I don't go to church wearing only shorts...that is not right..We should respect the holy place, which is the church... Others tend to wear that but I do think it's not good...

Well church should not be about what you wear but we don't ever go to the services in shorts. However when we are practicing or just having a social activity we sometimes do come in shorts. That's because it's a more formal gathering. One time this lady walked into church with a swim suit (short pants and top) covered by a vest in the middle of the sermon. I almost died. I mean it's not about what your wearing but wow that was to the extreme.

I have been to church wearing dressy shorts, but i certainly didn't feel comfortable because many people thought it strange, even disrespectful.
Wearing shorts to school is fine in my country, they are part of the summer uniform, as for wearing shorts in public, most truck drivers wear nothing but shorts and a singlet.

no i don't. i have never been to a church wearing shorts. i think it would be disgraceful to wear shorts and go to a temple, we should respect our sayings and culture. i would never ever do that because it would not look good to go to a temple or a church wearing shorts.

wearing shorts in church was a no-no in the past. even ladies wearing pants are being frowned by people and the church. lately, however, this has changed. i can see people (men and women) wearing shorts ... not the short shorts but the ones hanging up to the knee or lower. they are not the shorts that are tight-fitting, too. they look decent enough. i know of one school in our country where students are free to wear shorts... but not the very short ones.

When I went to high school my school did not allow anyone to come in shorts. That was around 15 years ago. Times have changed, however, and I think most schools may allow students to come in shorts. As for work, I think that depends on the type of job. If you worked on Wall Street and you showed up to your office in shorts I think they would think you had gone mad. If you work for Google, then I think you could show up in your underwear. As for a church, temple, or any place of worship I feel it is not correct to do so. They may allow it these days, but everyplace has their own code and a place of worship should be maintained as a place of worship. What I mean is you shouldn't show up to church looking like your ready to go to the beach.

No way would I wear shorts to church! I have worn pants, but felt very out of place although some other women do wear pants to church. We have had visitors come in with shorts and revealing clothes. You have to assume that those who do that just either don't know or don't care.
