Wheel of Fortune  

I like to watch it. My grandparents always watch it, so it is kind of a family tradition. We all try to keep points on whoever answers the questions right. I wish I could be on the show sometimes because I always seem to know the answers!

My parents love Wheel of Fortune. Which could be why I can't stand the show. It was always on TV at night when the whole family was home. Plus, I feel really bad when elderly people don't win anything. I hate that! I mean, I know they get parting gifts, and maybe they get a couple hundred dollars...I don't know. I saw the CBS has a new version of Let's Make a Deal, hosted by Wayne Brady. Not exactly a Wheel or Jeopardy kind of game though.

I haven't watched it for quite sometime but I did used to like it. I'm like you though and preferred Jeopardy which came on after it.

Personally, I enjoy Wheel of Fortune when I have time to watch it. I do NOT find most of the puzzles hard to solve. I also enjoy Jeopardy (again when I have time to watch it).

The strange thing about the show is that all the contestants are either married or engaged. This seems to exclude divorced individuals. All are employed or in school.

I don't really care for those kinds of shows, I hate to see people lose and I often can't figure those things out - and I hate the question thing on Jeopardy, bugs me

...Hi snowy22315, I do like Wheel of Fortune, if you study it you will find that the puzzles are sayings that have been around or song lyrics, before and after puzzles are the hardest for me. But you must be very smart, because the questions on Jeopardy are so much harder than the puzzles on Wheel. The difference to me between the two is like middle school vs college. I tried out twice for Wheel, when they came to NJ, the first time was a blowout. The second time I made the cut through the interview, and was in a group trying to solve the puzzles by calling out letters on the wheel. I was lucky to get there, because I received the notice to come to the Hotel where they were meeting, the day of the meeting, I called someone and she told me to be there, after I begged because I had missed the one I was supposed to attend. I won some gifts, by being first to answer a question about the old show with the RCA dog. Could not answer enough puzzles on paper to go any further, but a great experience. Would try again if the opportunity came up. Maybe the third time would be a charm :o) I would never make it on Jeopardy, like the show a lot and challenge myself in answering the questions. Sometimes I know the answers and the three people don't. Take care.

I like Jeopardy better too. For me, Wheel of Fortune is really repetitive and I've never understood why the contestants, who are wearing microphones, always shout.

We don't get wheel of fortune here in the UK anymore but, I used to love it when it was on and when I was in the USA in March and we stayed in a villa for our vacation I used to watch it in the evenings sometimes! x

After whatever it has been....... 25 years or whatever... I am burnt out of the show. I still watch Jeopardy! religiously but have to turn the channel when Wheel comes on. In different markets Jeopardy! and Wheel come on in different formats (Wheel first or Jeopardy! first).
