Taking care of people is second nature to me, even when I walk with my mom or anyone that is a little older then me, my first instinct is to look out for them, hold their hand, make sure they don't trip its crazy how I do this, this lady said god bless you so much to me today, it really made me wonder, their may be some elderly people that really need me.

I know that people talk to hear themselves, but my friend if you can only see me, when I walk into my patients room even if they have a room full of family its like I fit right in, its amazing the energy that follows me when I am taking care of the sick, sometimes when I have a patient that gave me a hard time, they beg me to come back,they say please I am so sorry, please come back, thank you so much, I always know they will change all I have to do is touch them, I will go back part time.

You are so right my friend, this lady was so grateful, she said god sent you to me, maybe he sent her to me, Hatley there is no way someone can be so good at something then end it, almost 20 years this is all I did, I know I can start from scratch else where but crap, what happens to all the years I have under my belt in this field, a friend said I should do it part time, I will go to the union and get into a hospital but explain I need to work part time and see what happens, at least I can get the feel of it and decide from there.

I know, if it wouldn't take so long I would do that, I know I would be the best nurse my friend, like I told you before I did so bad when I took up nursing, sure they will help me and send me out in the field clueless I can't do that, for some reason it does not stick in my head, the work is so hard, my memory stinks, I don't know what to do.

Its really hard, I am so good at this job, my last patient was it, I said no more, its not easy my friend, my family tells me to go back because I have so much experience, but maybe doing this part time will make a difference, I have been out of work for a little while I need to go back, part time may be the answer.

You know what, you are absolutely right in my heart I don't want to do it, I give too much of myself and it burns me out, my co-workers hate me cause I make them look bad, I may go back part time, but like you said what has changed lmaooo, you are something else, I would not have thought of this until I got back and say crap, this is wait I needed to hear my friend, you hit the nail on the head, so glad you know someone that worked in the field this way you were able to give it to me clear and uncut, good job my friend, I will more than likely do it part time because this is where I have all the experience, maybe I will get lucky and work on a floor that will not burn me out, wish me luck my friend.

I decided to do it part time, but wont expect too much, I will go to work and hope things wont be too hard for me, I don't know how to not work hard, sometimes I make things harder on myself, I am not the person to stand around chatting when doing this kind of work someone always need help so there I go, my co workers get mad, I don't mean to do this, I can't help it, then I get burned out, its a hard job my friend, but people need to understand we can all get sick, if my mom was to get sick I would hope someone will take good care of her, some sick people make this really hard then you start to question yourself,why am I here, part time will be good enough unless I end up on the mental word, may have a chance, maybe lol

I am so glad I started this discussion I got some really good advice, things I didn't consider at all, I knew this was a good idea, people here are really great, I have some good friends, they look out for me, and they tell me the truth and that is what I needed.

Being in the field for so long, you see that people are not treated right, when I work my goal if to make my patient feel good for whatever hours I am there, yes the money is good, but its not about that when you have these people that depend on you, health and hospitals really suck, people priorities are all screwed up, I feel bad for these patients but then I feel bad for myself because while I am working others are whispering its really sad, sick people are not treated right, but I am one person, which is why I gave it up, I am thinking about doing it part time, I will always do a good job but not sure how long I will be there, we shall see.

I have been doing this for too long to look for anything, I get pleasure out of seeing my patients face when I am done with them.

I sure did not seek out this lady,I had to use the bathroom, but my heart would not let me leave her, she would have fell for sure, or maybe this is something she does for sympathy who knows, I will always help in the field or out, thats my nature.

You are right, this is why I started this discussion to get other peoples point of view, when I told my mom the first thing she said is you need to go back, not matter how much I explain my feelings she wants me back in the field, everyone that knows me tells me this, but until you actually do the work you will never understand how hard a job this is, the lady said god sent me to her, maybe he did because she really needed help, I was thinking it could be a sign but after reading the responses why would god put me in a position to be unhappy, the job is hard, I am getting older, although I am good but they had me for almost 20 years, if I return it will be part time only, then we shall see what happens.

You know what, I did this a few years ago, I put a add in craigs list and also made some flyers I put out the flyers and put some on the bus stop and got a ticket, lol the bus stop was full of flyers I never knew this was against the law, they threw it out but could you imagine, the last patient I had was a doctor I worked with him friday morning to monday morning, I thought this was meant my boss use to interview people in the starbucks where my daughter work, she said ma this man is interviewing people for companions I said talk to him and give him my number, she did but he did not call right away, she said should I say something to him I said no, he could be a perv, he has the number he will call, he did, that patient is the reason I gave up caring for sick people he was the worse, doctors make the worse patients.

I will put another add in craigs list and see what happens, I will also go to the union from what I understand they need people bad, I will do it part time, maybe it will work out, although its not in my heart to go back, I know if I do that special something will kick in and I will be as good as usual, only part time can't handle anything else, I am getting old myself, my back is not what it use to be all that lifting is too much for kitty my friend lol
