That's a good idea for a graffiti. Applying yours with my personal life, I'd put something like, "Say no to procrastination!"

high water pressure. we forget things are not the same all
over this ever shrinking globe of ours. I love that in mylot

Wrong presumpiton Hatley I'm afraid. The simple fact is that Greek plumbers have not heard of English pipes and Greek pipes are far to narrow to allow anything down or they immediately become blocked. It is very irritating if out to visit the ladies behind some tourist who has blatantly disregarded the signs and you know the owner is about to have a problem with flooding. It is a constant worry if one has a guest not familiar with this system as the cost of having the external pipes unblocked is a massive expensive at 300 Euros, which is a lot more in dollars. I've been lucky in having friends who have come and sorted mine out now several times as of course they could be blocked with any waste and mine have the misfortune to go round a corner. So it's actually the case in most of Greece.

My mum and stepdad visited Yugoslavia and said it was the same there thea. It's amazing what we are accustomed to doing though and I can imagine some people might put the toilet paper in accidentally. I once forgot to buy toilet roll so used a cloth until I got to the shops... I dropped it in without even thinking!

I did try to persuade the builder to use 'English pipes' but he denied they would work here, but of course they would have, they'd just have cost more, and the plumbers probably wouldn't have known what to do with them. It's actually a system which is very easily adpated to and I dread to think what will happen if they ever decide to change the cess pit situation deal with things the way other countries do - still that will be years and years off.
