What kind of flooring do you have in your kitchen and bathroom?

I have linoleum in my kitchen which needs to be replaced. I don't like it at all. It came with the house when I brought it. As for my bathrooms they both have ceramic tiles. Both same color and design.

I now have a wet room, so the flooring is great. As for my kitchen I still have the laminate down and it is easy to clean, the same as the front room and the hall way.I am unable to do the cleaning now, due to ill health, but it makes it easier for other people to clean the floors, as carpets get so dirty so easily.

I was going to have the laminate in the frontroom removed and have the floor boards exposed and sanded down, but chose to keep the laminate, as virtually the same look at the end of the day.
We have now got a wet room that is a lot easier for cleaning as well as is better to walk on and safer, as it is non slip flooring in there.

Right now in our kitchen we just have plain old, ugly vinyl flooring. We haven't gotten around to totally updating our kitchen yet and I can't wait to get rid of that ugly flooring and replace it with laminate. I think the laminate is going to look a lot nicer and really make the small kitchen seem a lot bigger than it really is.
Our bathroom, however, is a different story. We have marble floors in the bathroom. When we bought our house we gutted the bathroom and rebuilt it from the studs up, so we have a completely custom bathroom with marble floors and a ceramic tile shower surround. I've had people tell me that our bathroom looks like one that you see in hotels on television but never get to stay in those kind of hotel rooms.

I would love to have a new kitchen, but we are going to wait a few more years for when the children grow up, rather than while they are still young.
We still have the laminate flooring all down stairs, but we now have a wet room, rather than a bathroom upstairs, so the flooring up there is non slip.

I like flat stones and preheated so in the cold weather the floor is warm to walk on and cool in the summer.

I have ceramic floor tiles throughout the ground floor of the house because it is solid concrete (except the living room extension, which is suspended wood floor and carpeted). It's really easy to clean, exceptionally hard-wearing and looks more real than laminate (though some laminates these days can look so real that you have to really look closely to see that they are not what they seem!)
The only downside is that ceramic tiles are hard and anything dropped on them tends to break more easily. The solution to that, though, is BE MORE CAREFUL!!!
We have a downstairs toilet and shower room which also has a tiled floor but the bathroom upstairs has a wood effect laminate which is quite acceptable.
I have to say that I did not choose the flooring: it was already here when we moved in six years ago and I am so grateful to the previous owners for choosing what they did!

hi jugsjugs we had tiles in both kitchen and bathroom so they were easy to clean but darned dangerous and slippery when
wet. my son fell twice, once he broke two ribs because he 'had slipped some water on the floor. he did not see it, slipped and
landed on his chest, busting his ribs. ouch ouch ouch.

I have just had a wet room put in and the wet room flooring is a lot warmer, than the laminate. It has made the whole room feel warmer, since we have had it done.I still have laminate all down stairs and now that my husband has to do most of the cleaning it makes his life a lot better.
