What do you do (while your children are at school)?

I completely know what you mean about having very little time that belongs to you and you alone. It seems like these days I get less and less of that kind of time and I really need it or else I might go insane.

That sounds like exactly how I'll spend my time at least for the first several days after my son starts school in a couple of years. By then it will have been almost nine years since I'd had a day to myself and I feel like I deserve it already (we are almost up to seven years).

I too spend time during the day while my daughter is at school doing my paid to do sites. I only wish that I could find a few more of them. Right now I only have three sites that I am doing and yes, it is getting me a little bit of cash, but I'd love to find some more.

I am doing so many I probably couldn't count them on my hand LOL some I have already requested payouts at and many do pay and others are new sites.

How is wish i can do the same. A domesticated mom and wife. I am a career woman and only during weekends and evenings after work that i have the chance to attend to my family's concerns. We're so grateful for having a trustworthy caregiver who assist me in doing the some of the chores and attending to my kids while I am at work and my husband too.

I too try to stick to doing all of my errands on one day. I dream of being able to go to the grocery store without children, but for right now I guess I'll settle with being able to go with just one child instead of both of them. Having your children under your feet while you are trying to grocery shop costs a lot of extra money.

I too just have two children, and they are about the same age difference between them as my two children are. I'm lucky that my oldest is in school and my son is relatively undemanding so I am able to get things done. I just wonder how lonely I will be when he starts school too.

Hehe.. when he starts school, you may be able to volunteer and such . I did that at the middle school for my older kids when I was pregnant with the little one, but after she was born, it was kind of hit and miss when I could help out. I didn't want to be a distraction, and also even though she was a baby, it wasn't always fun for her to sit around in a baby carrier if she was awake and I was in the classroom.

We always eat dinner together as a family as well. I grew up in a family that found it important to all eat together and therefore I am bringing up our family in the same way.

Same here Dorrann. Dinner time is the best time for us to be updated with each other's activities, accomplsihments and concerns the whole day.

I too think about my daughter and worry about any accident that may happen at school. I know firsthand that some kind of accident can happen at school and it always crosses my mind.

That's one thing that the daytime is really good for is to be able to get business done. The problem that I have with my business is that I really need to be able to make my phone calls in the evening when most normal people are home from work.

I usually do housework and such on Monday since that's the first day after the weekend that my entire family is at work or school and I can get it done quickly, but this week... that's not what I did lol. Besides, there's only so much of that you can do after you get bored of it.

When my son starts school in a couple of years, the plan is for me to work part time while they are at school. Of course, I don't know because it is still a couple of years away and by that time I will have been out of the work force for nearly six years. I'm hoping that by then things will have picked up and the extra money that I'll be making will help us to pay off our house even soon before I am 40 years old.

I spend time at the school too, although not as much this year as I did last year. Last year I was volunteering for Girl Scouts after school and everything that I could do in the classroom as well. This year, I am still the secretary of the PTA which takes time and I am planning to volunteer more in the classroom, but childcare situations have changed with my youngest and it isn't possible to be there as often as I was last year.
