Do you use or do you know all of the keys on a computer keyboard? |
| |
| When it comes to the keyboard of a computer, are you familiar with those keys from F1, F2 till F12 and Insert, Delete, PriSc, Pause on the top row of the keyboard? Or do you ever use them or do you know their functions? I never use them because I have no idea about those keys. What's more, I don't know if there is need for me to use any one of them since those keys are new to me though I see them on the keyboard each time I use my laptop. So what about you, my fellow mylotters? Do you know anything about those keys or are you just like me, not familiar with the use of those keys? Thank you for your responses in advance. Have a beautiful day. | | | | | |

| | I never use power, sleep and wake up keys, but I am aware of what they exactly do. Mostly I use the function keys specially F1 to F8, page up, page down, home , end and print screen a lot of times whenever necessary. When I first learned computer I used to have lots of problems finding the keys and many times I had to ask my teacher not about the commands but the location of the keys and function of them. So I decided later to study a bit about the types of keyboards and locations of keys in them and gathered lots of information about their function and all. It helped me a lot as well to work with good speed and ease when I use my Operating system and other applications. Because Using keyboard is much faster than clicking mouse. They really make my life lot more simpler. | | | | | | |

| | No. I do not know anything about those keys. F4 is used for coming out of a game. When I was in the office, I was using some F keys which I do not remember now. With my limited knowledge I am managing somehow. As and when chance comes, I am learnin a few things. | | | | | | |

| | Hey willimajisir! I hate to admit it but, when I first learned how to use the computer I was taught what all those F keys were! And now I have absolutely no idea what any of them are used for! They now have all the short cut keys so people just really don't pay much attention to them anymore! I really need to find out what they are now that you brought it up! I will have to go do a search because it's bothering me! I'll let you know if I find out some information on it! | | | | | | |

| | hi well F1 you use as an emergency key when you need to escape from a program and nothing else seems to work. Insert stands for inserting something into a sentence, delete you surely must use occasionally as you need to get rid of a typing error. pause I am not sure of as I never have used it.But delete really comes in handy. Other than those I never use the others so know nothing about them. But F1 is a good one to know if you have a program stuck and nothing else will work on it you hit F1 and you will get rid of it. | | | | | | |

| | I don't use them - my delete key is to the right and I someitmes use that - insert is annoying - for me I delete usually by highlighted the text with the mouse and then clicking it to delete. | | | | | | |

| | Hello artems432. I don't know how to use the delete key. It seems that it does not work when I press it. But anyway I don't think I will ever use since it is more convenient to use the mouse. Happy posting, friend. | | | |

| | I have to confess my friend that I am ignorant to a lot of keys on my keyboard and what their utility is, I never use any of the F keys at the top, hey maybe this discussion might get people starting to find out what the different keys that are usually ignored are all about? There are 16 F keys on my computer and yet I don't use any of them, I think maybe that's a waste? Waste of keys or a waste of knowledge that could help me in my work? | | | | | | |

| | Hello wolfie. Now I have learned from one of the responses that F5 is a "refresh" key and I have tried it. It does refresh the page each time I press it. It is interesting to know about it. Good day, wolfie. | | | |
