So now you know what kind of behavior Obama calls outstanding. Rep Grayson was a hero to some democrats, even here on this forum, for saying Republicans want you to "Die Quickly". Well that's not all for this jerk. He called Linda Robertson, an adviser to Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke, a “K Street wh0re”. Several democrats have condemned him for this disgusting behavior, but last night Obama came out and called Grayson an "Outstanding Member of Congress". So I guess it's just OUTSTANDING, that he is calling women K street wh0res. I should also point out that while some democrats such as Rep. Weiner (D-N.Y., I just had to use his name, have condemned this, I have yet to hear a single LEADER of democrats condemn ANYTHING this jerk has done. Pelosi, Reid, Frank, Dodd... all silent. : http://www.politico.com/blogs/scorecard/1009/Obama_Grayson_an_outstanding_member_of_Congress.html

Here's some context for you X. Notice that this coward didn't even have the guts to talk to NBC, a pro-Obama network when asked for an interview. : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXkqCjlnOmY

Yeh, he has declined interviews on anything but friendly territory, but I am amazed he would consider Jones to be friendly territry.

Everyday we see (from the Internet not from the media) just what a low class, egotistical bunch of immoral crooks we have in our government. I would like to see them all booted out so we could start over and vote in a government that represents the will of the people. Every new congressman and senator would be on a six month trial period where if the good of the country and the will of the people was not their number one priority then out they go, a new one is voted in and so on until we have a decent, honest government.

The biggest problem is not simply that these morons are in office, but they get reelected and defended by people who think such behavior is perfectly acceptable if they have the right letter next to their name. Odds are this guy will be booted out shortly anyway. He's a first term congressman and has done nothing but make an a$$ of himself since his term started. Florida's not left wing enough to tolerate that kind of garbage.

Hey, I've been called a wh0re right here on myLot and it wasn't related to anything I do or have done for a living but to my opinions! That word seems to be tossed around rather lightly these days and, no, I don't like it. However, you're not being completely honest about Rep. Grayson because he's not calling "WOMEN" anything, he made a bad choice of words while talking about this one woman. From what I've seen of Grayson since he's been in the limelight it's clear he's a very passionate guy about some populist issues and he's not a seasoned politician, so he's going to word things in ways that aren't quite "politically correct" now and then. I LIKE that kind of realness in a person. Don't get me wrong, he should apologize and explain himself for that comment but I don't think he should be "condemned" and I sure don't know of anything else he should be condemned for. He gave the GOP back some of their own medicine and it got people's attention, which was what he'd hoped for. I've been saying for weeks now that he's indeed an outstanding member of congress and that we need more like him. I've been wishing I could vote for him or that I could afford to give him a campaign contribution. Annie

Wow... you really are quite the hypocrite aren't you? It's racist and sexist to make a joke about sending vacuum cleaners to Sotomayor's women's club, but calling a woman a "K Street Wh0re" is the act of an outstanding congressman. We need to condemn and "admonish" a man for stating that Obama lied, when the fact is that he did, yet you can see no reason to condemn a man who called a woman a wh0re. "he's not a seasoned politician, so he's going to word things in ways that aren't quite "politically correct" now and then. I LIKE that kind of realness in a person." I'll keep that in mind. You LIKE it in a politician when he calls a woman a wh0re. That's realness alright. He's a real scumbag, but that's just fine because he has the letter D after his name.

The funny thing is that on several occasions I have seen it said that if a public figure knows their words could be taken the wrong way or have other meanings then they shouldn't say them. I guess that only applies when the left takes exception to some innocent thing said by someone on the right and then makes a big media moment out of it, demanding apologies. But this is twice now that you've stood up for liberal men saying really disgusting things about women, Annie, and I just don't see you vehemently defending anyone on the right who isn't "seasoned" or who chose the wrong words without malice. Standards are standards - once you start making excuses for some you destroy the standard for all. If we want to take his meaning and apply it to himself, then Grayson is a media wh0re, saying stupid, unfounded and outrageous things to get himself in the limelight. He says what he says simply to be outrageous, something you don't think Rush Limbaugh ought to do. Grayson is out to make sure people remember his name and he'll say any nasty thing to accomplish that goal. He's passionate alright, he's passionate about being famous.

Rep Grayson is representative of thrpwback politics. Used to be before TV that language was very salty and vile. They each other names that were terrible. After what Republicans called Obama recently its hypocrital for them to complain. Politics doesnt always exist politically correct. I agree with Annie its standard one side cant complain after what they have done.

Conservatives and Republicans have called Obama, a socialist, said he has Nazi like tendencies. They have changed pictures of the president to give him Hitler like atrributes. Jowe Wilson disrespected him on the floor of the congress. If people care about America and the constitution they would not try to descecrate the office of the president just because their preferred candidate did not win. obama was elected by the people of America. He is representative of a true cross section of America. Rep. Grayson should apologize for calling a woman a K street wh@#& because personal attacks against an indivual should not be permitted but to say the Republicans policy is Die quickly on Health Care, that is fair game.

There's a difference between elected officials and regular people. That's first. But you are right about Joe Wilson disrespecting Obama. For that, he immediately apologized. Grayson makes this comment, he eventually apologizes. Okay, so we have enough, right? They both apologized. No! Now we get into the double standard. With Wilson, a man DARING to show disrespect to the president, he was blasted by the media. He was forced to apologize again. He was shamed in publications across the country. All of this happened after he apologized to the president and the president accepted the apology. With Grayson, the lion's share of the media shrugs its collective shoulders. There's no pressure for him to make a stand-up apology. He ducks and runs from any and all questions. And unlike Wilson, who blurted out "you lie" in the heat of the moment, Grayson makes this obnoxious behavior a habit. So where's the same standard for the left policitician as the right politician? That's all most people want. It's not enough to throw blame at the other side. That's bogus, man. These elected officials work for the American people, and if they're dumb enough to stay dumb things, they should ALL be held to the same standards. How hard is it to say a guy's wrong without pointing the finger and making excuses?

It's the double standard - if he's a liberal we give him a free pass. He can say all the nasty things he wants to about women IF they are not liberals. If a Republican had said this they'd be all over him about his misogyny and sexism. Grayson is only out to make a name for himself. He foams at the mouth and spews garbage because it gets him on the news.

I've read the defense comment of this bozo already, and there's no need for me to dig in at anniep. I'm starting to take my own advice and let people go their own way. To me, it's more than enough to know that the person is just holding onto the party and refusing to budge an inch, because their entire belief system may unravel if they admit as much. I don't care that this guy isn't condemned by anyone who actually matters in the party. I expect this from all politicians, especially the loons. Throwing out insults like these--brutal, nasty, needless!--and falling back on weak word play is par for the baby blue course. It's like Bill Maher calling Palin a bimbo. When called to task, Maher goes into his rant about how, "Oh, a man can be a bimbo too!" so now he's sure to call Bush a bimbo to keep up with his own hatred. I'm sure Grayson will be suspiciously callign a man a wh0re in the coming weeks. Equal opportunity and all. It's not like this guy is Rush Limbaugh. Grayson is an elected official. It's not like he's some talk show host. He's an elected official. There should be a different standard. But there won't be. I'll never understand the pure hypocrisy. Well, maybe I already do. There seems to be a serious lack of straight-shooting, hard-hitting media in this country that will call someone out for using this type of language if they happen to allign themselves with liberal thinking. And far too many regular people in the country are more than happy to play along and tell us all how we're over reacting to this comment but not being harsh enough on Rush's "bloods and crips" comment or even Beck's loosely pieced together "Obama is a racist" comment. It's the entire culture. It's okay from that side. We're too sensitive. Blah, blah, blah. This guy's a schmuck. True to my predictions a while back, logged on myLot, I'm sure, someone came out to follow the President's lead and actually asserted that Fox News was the enemy of America. Suprise, suprise -- it was Grayson. Yeah, the guy is begging for attention. I guess, at some point, every politician that wanted to be president finds their moment of clarity when they realize the dream will never happen. At this, their most meaningful fork in the road, the options are to A) play it safe as an honest person, doing good where you can, or B) find another way to become a celebrity with an exaggerated sense of self worth and a false sense of power. The road most traveled...

He is a liberal... what do you expect? This type of behavior is normal for liberals... although I am surprised that he would be attacking on of the liberals allies. After all, Bernanke was one of those who sold the idea of a credit crisis that made the bailouts the dems love so much possible.

You're surprised by this? These people stick together - why would Obama want to alienate a congressional ally on health care reform? I hope the man loses his seat in the next election, but chances are, he won't.
