What do you think of the people who are trying to make the very sarcastic

Sometimes being sarcastic to some people seems humorous or witty. Everyone wants to feel smart or funny. I think them masking it with the lol is because they don't know if the person they are commenting to will take it the same way that they meant it to be. I don't think they are doing it to hurt anyone but to make themselves feel good. Not always thinking about others I guess.

I think the world is made of a spectrum of people. I would start by saying no one is 100% good. But I would like to affirm that there are a percentage of people who are 100% bad. I do not have a problem with those who are not 100% good. I may have some problems with people who are 100% bad.I only hope in my life I will be spared from ever meeting them.

The trouble is those in between. Like you said, they mask their intentions with a great wide big smile. No one knows exactly what they are up to. One day they are on your side, the next day they are not and then on other days the are neutral to anything you say. Just watch out for these. They are the opportunistic people that will take advantage of you. They are highly dangerous and will do a Brutus on you when they can!

I did not think about it much. However, I do get a 'holdback'
..err...and later when I see the LOL smiley, I just LOL too!
I think that responder do have some points of views but he/she
do not want it to be too harsh. Accept their views for they
are sharing it the way they thought. As there is no right or
wrong answers in individual views on matter of topic of
discussion.

If I realise that a response in indeed sarcastic then that's fine by me as it gives me a chance to use this smilie>>>

Nice to see you back on the board. Appears you were busy. I think those who make sarcastic remarks and cover up by writing LOL, are better than those, who do not even put up LOL. I do not appreciate sarcastic remarks to my posts because I myself do not make any such remarks. I cannot assume that the other person sitting miles apart is going to get the same emotions, which I feel while writing my remarks, therefore, I strictly refrain from making such remarks for anyone on any post.

i know what you mean by saying that,i have had a lot of sarcastic comments to my discussions but i always try to ignore it as i dont want to make enemies or else i donot want a war of words.my friendship in mylot is more important.

Hmm, I think it would depend on how the phrase or statement is worded, along with that "LOL" since there are those sarcastic statements when accompanied by an LOL smile does really intend to exude a biting insult. Then again, there are those naturally sarcastic people who try to be more gentle with their biting comments by adding a smile. Perhaps its their way of saying "no offense".

That's just what I think about the matter anyway.

Sarcasm can be humorous in the right context and I would imagine that people use the LOL to let whoever they are communicating with know that they are just being sarcastic and should not be taken seriously. I don’t think that the majority of MyLotters are necessarily masking anything although there may be the odd one who uses sarcasms in a hurtful way.

I have never seen it like that as I always give people benefir of a doubt and trust them so if the are sarcastic to me, then I haven't noticed it as I love laughter and fun.

I've got a pretty sarcastic kind of humor, and my friends know that. I try to be more mild if I don't know people personally because I don't know how they will react to my kind of humor. I never try to upset people on purpose, and if I remember correctly sarcasm is a milder version of cynism.
So yes, sarcasm can be combined with a smile; but be up front about it.
There is nothing funny or bold about making a comment and then hide behind a smilie face. If you want to be sarcastic or cynical then be honest about it or say nothing at all.
