Nancy Pelosi is telling you to sit down and shut up.

What the people of the United States don't seem to realize is, the members of the House of Representatives are the voice of We the People in the Federal Government. When Speaker Pelosi says that no Republicans can be present during a House function, she is literally telling each person in the districts that we have no right to a voice... that is everyone, regardless of party.
If Nancy Pelosi looked you in the face and told you to sit down and shut up, would you stand for it? If not, then why are you standing for it now?

Its not that we want to stand for it, but what can we do? Writing to our "representatives" won't help, because either they're Democrat and part of the problem, or their Republican and have no say in the matter.

There ya go! Hope folks change things at voting 2010.. We listened to the media too much over the previous eight years.. look where it got us.. (we better at least listen to 'both' sides!)

You do speak up be it to the papers, your rep. the senate it's self we vote them in remind them of that. They may think that they have the power but it is our nation and if everyone sits back and does nothing then it will continue to be pushed to ruin. Tell your rep in no short terms to do what you want or you will not vote for them again. Start up a petition and send it, they might laugh if there is only one threat but get a few hundred and they will change their tune to the one you want.

It is rather chilling.. especially if we know some about history.. it took millenia to stumble into a system of checks and balances upon power, and these days, it's forgotten or never realized.. there's never been a beneficient ruler or king.. human nature doesn't lean that way! That's why solid checks on power and small government is the answer! And state's rights instead of blanket federal gov (big bro is all that is, since the 1st Supreme Court changing of a law).
