My friend got depression after see his rating what sholud he do?

I have some good advice and some advice your not going to want to hear. If your friend cant except what others think about his opinions, maybe he should keep them to himself. No one group is ever going to agree with everything and anything someone says; we all have our rite to opinions. But in the same tocken a very wize man once said "Those who Judge do not matter" and "Those that do not pass judgement will not be Judged." I hope this helps.

Don't be demoralized by the rating you get here. It shouldn't be used as the yardstick to measure the quality of individual strength. The rating is easily abused as it is all manually rated by other mylotters here and not from the admin. Some people rate based on emotions. If they find you not to their likins they can simply rate you negative and that affects the star you get. Just stay active here and it will improve as time goes by. Do not surrender as the star position is springy. Enjoy the fun here and things will change of the better.

Well he should not be depressed by just looking at the rating system only. If he truly enjoys this site then the rating system, is irrelevant to him and continue on enjoying it by time it will rise if he is really good in writing. To avoid being pulled down in ratings, he should always see to it that he writes positively or even responds not to hurt someone with his writings. I guess from there he can find good friends in here that might give him positive ratings.

Why does he care so much about what people here think of him? We're all strangers to him.

I don't know who your friend is, so I don't know whether or not his posts are really good. But, I see that most 9-star and 10-star people have tons of posts. A lot more than 100. I think it takes time to get to a decent rating, so he should just keep working at it. If his posts are really good, then I'm sure he'll get a high rating eventually.

It is really unnecessary completely for your friend to pay much attention to the rating.
You see, I have to say that the algorithm of reputation in myLot is fair and it is next to impossible that he has just gotten only 4 star if he doed quality posts all the time. Of course, the Discussion Rating System allows users to rate the usefulness of topics, responses, and comments on myLot and members here should rate discussions, responses, comments, and photos based upon quality and usefulness. If he have worked hard all the time, people here will keep a good relationship with him.
If your friends can keep posting high-quality concents here and I believe that he will succeed sooner or later. Good luck!

He shouldn't let the star rating get him down. It goes up and down and often takes a while to build it up. He should just get on here and enjoy himself and not worry about it. Is he fairly new here? Did his rating drop or is he just feeling that it should be higher?

That friend of yours really should not be depressed. If mylot is seriously going to make him depressed in life, well that's totally not worth it, even if he only get's depressed when he goes on mylot. Your friend has quality posts which probably means his post is long and he likes to really explain his point of view. Alot of dumb people in mylot start rating people negatively straight away if the person does not agree with there point of view. Tell him or her to ignore it.

hey rucrazy it is alright to get a 4 star rating when someone has just reached 100 posts, when i was at 100 star rating i just had 5 stars myself and look now what it has become, it will get better with time my friend, call your friend up coz there is nothing to feel bad about... your ratings will increase gradually, this is only a start.... so call your friend and enjoy this site.

He should try to improve on his posting. There is no need getting depressed, it would not help him, all he would be taking one step forward and two steps back
