Have you noticed that people let fireworks off all year round now,no matter when as well as where or what time of the night it is?

hi jugsjugs You are In England if I remember right? We here in the US have that too anymore, and while we have fireworks on the fourth of July to celebrate Independence day, seems like a lot of people set them off at any month and any time of the night. I was just thinking my birthday is Nov.15th, is that Guy Hawkes day or close to it, seems I remember reading a rhyme about it. Now I do not remember for sure. anyway we have the same problem here in the US.

Hi JJ, Yes, i noticed that too tht you can have fireworks anytime of the year-- for fiesta, events, birthday, and almost all the celebrations, firework display is one of its event's highlights. Before, it's only during the christmas season and fully-firework nights during the new year's eve.

Small town USA here, and we don't see or hear them unless it's The Fourth Of July! I think it's rude to set them off when it's late at night, but any other time of year is fine. Oh of course at new year's they are set off too.

Yeah, I see a lot of it every now and then. fireworks are becoming an every day comodity here in the Philippines. Its always available in stores. Birthdays, festivals, ceremonies, you name it, you can see those flashing fireworks everywhere. And it also make me laugh to see fireworks in broad daylight.lol

That does not happen where I live, thank heavens. They do drive around with their car radios too loud, though. I hate when they are 4 or 5 blocks away and my windows shake from it.

I think alot of people enjoy the fireworks and they have so many different ones now too. It is open to so many people now and easy to get. Yes, people really do not have much respect for others as far as when they set them off anymore. I think that is a sort of sign of the times.

I don't so much notice that where we live. I've seen that for much of the month of July there are fireworks set off around here. They are regularly available in late June and early July as we come upon Independence Day. Then I also notice as we come close to the New Year. I think that the majority of the fireworks that people set off at the end of the year are left over from Independence Day or else people travel to a neighboring state and buy fireworks there.

Hi Jugs, I just responded to your another discussion and knew what is the date for Guy Fawkes in England. I think you are engaged in the hilarity atmosphere now. Here, we usually set the fireworks off by the end of the year and at the beginning of the year, and most the time, lovers like to set the fireworkds off in Valentine's Day, though it is the western festival, young people like to celebrate it for some purpose.. Have a nice day.

I usually see fireworks when there are occasions, this is more common to the chinese since an occasion is not complete without fireworks and during Christmas season as well. even Muslims have fireworks too on most of their occasions. I guess all these were acquired from the chinese who invented the gunpowder. Cheers!

Yes, I did notice it. I think most people use fireworks during special occasions not only during New year's eve. Recently, we spent our vacation last November 1 in Batangas (Philippines) we went to the cemetery to visit the tombs of our relatives. My auntie owns this memorial park. Yearly, she spend money for fireworks display at night. And this is not just ordinary fireworks for an All Saint's Day occasion. People were amazed and entertained. Every year we always for this event. Have a nice day!

They are probably shooting off left overs. There were some people blowing them off on Halloween the other night. I thought that was kind of odd, but we were out trick or treating and it was a Saturday night so it was kind of neat to see. Fireworks are illegal here, but they are legal in the two neighboring states so a a lot of people drive over the borders and buy them.

Yes. In my city people often see off firework, no matter what kind of occasions, birthday/ marriage/ moving into a new house and so on. Sometimes they do at midnight or at nood when we are sleeping. It is a waste of money and it pollute air as well.
