Is Global Warming True?

Yes I must say my brother has changed my mind. Apparently in the industrial age when we had lots of factories going the temperature actually decreased. Part of a cycle.

carbon emissions have been steadily increasing since the industrial revolution - dramatically so since the seventies. in addition there is a delay before effects are felt. a cold spell during the industrial revolution is irrelevant.

Hmm, perhaps you are right. I suppose there is no way to know but to just keep pumping greenhouse gases into the atmosphere and see what happens. Remember that just because you read about something doesn't make it true. The media will always exploit things for views.
The idea of global warming is opposed though. There are scientists that think it's true and scientists who believe it's false.

Not only to the media exploit certain things but they also use certain items of news and make them bigger than they are to hide something else from us, something which is often much more important too

yes the idea of global warming seems to just be lots of predictions and guesswork and nothing can be proven for certain. I don't know if there is a way to know if we should be in an ice age right now and couldn't begin to imagine how people could know that. I do agree that it is definitely a hard concept to understand.

Well bud sictist have done a lot of studying on this and and ice age occurs around every 2 million years(i do not know if that is right number somewhere close though). They can tell this by going to Antarctica and drilling out the snow and ice and looking the difference. The snow there is like a onion with layers. So i believe that is how they do that kind of work. If you would like me to get you absolute facts i can try and do that for you.

Yes it's true everything seems to be about global warming these days. Even things like storms and cyclones are being blamed on global warming. I am also tired of hearing about it.

Yes there seems to be a lot of evidence it seems but its not 100%. There will probably always be people opposed to it. My brother tells me it's just part of the Earth's natural cycle and our emissions have almost no effect.
Hard to say considering the massive amount of people who will give you evidence to prove global warming is true.

Yes I think I agree with you and this heating of the Earth we are experiencing is temporary. And yes global warming is just a tiny problem compared to the slew of bad things going on in this world.

Apparently the ice melting is just part of a cycle of the Earth. Global warming can't be caused because thee are more people on the Earth. In a building it may heat up if more people are in it but the atmosphere is large and the heat of the sun is only being trapped in more because of the CO2 emissions from our factories and things. At least that's the theory.

Im not completely sure my brother says the earth just changes temperature as a part of a cycle and the ice that is melting will refreeze from water.

i think as someone mentioned before your brother is a little confused - i'm going to guess since he is still at school that he came across something in geography but i can't exactly explain it unless i know what it is.

Yes it has altered in some places and this could be evidence to both theories but there is lots we don't know about Earth.

this does happen but is not exactly what is happening at the moment. this is a bit quicker.
