Timing is Everything

God works in mysterious ways. I remember one time I was on my way to a 2nd interview in the fiercest snow storm of the year (half an hour from Cleveland into Cleveland) and it took me about 2 hours to get there safely and I was majorly late. I actually rode up the elevator with the interviewer and didn't know it. She gave me the job because she knew I was dedicated and really knew that I wanted the job. This job is my foot in the door for my career path and I am so glad I risked my life driving into Cleveland for it.

hi mzz663 yes a number of years back my sister and I had bought tickets to fly home on a certain flight from Phoenix to Rapid city South dakota. but on the midday of that flight, I got a horribly queasy feeling in my stomach and made my sister mad,as I refused to take that flight. I rescheduled for the next morning, we were watching televison that night and the news came out that the flight we should originally have taken collided with another
plane over the Grand Canyon, no survivors left. I knew that there was a reason why I did not want to take that flight, although I had no idea why. glad I went with my gut feeling.
Another time my hubby gave me a letter to take to the apartment complex mailbox, and I suddenly just could not move, and he got upset with me. He said,go on and mail that stupid letter. so I started across the lawn towards the mailbox when the land ladys big lummox of a dog came careening out and collided with me, and I tripped over a hidden sprinkler head, and landed on my left shoulder. I was in agony so we went to the doctor, and got it xrayed. torn rotator cuff, my husband rescued the letter then forgot to mail it til the next day. he said, I wish I had listened to you.

How very true, and how few of us notice, as we rush through life as if there was no tomorrow! This is a world of illusion. Nothing is as it seems! The grass is not green, it is a reflection of the color green from the spectrum. Your arm is not solid! The atoms in your flesh compare in distance with the stars in the universe. A tree in the forest makes no sound as it falls, unless there is someone there (or a device) to hear it. When the astronauts went to the moon, they realized that there is no up or down. Its all relevant. I could go on and on, but whats the use? Nobody will believe this anyway. (except You and Me and now, I'm wondering about you?)

That has happened to me many times before and I've escaped a LOT of close calls!

I learned by the time I was 35 that if things are just not going right, take a deep breath and deal with things as they come, don't worry about getting somewhere on time and just call ahead and say I'll be late. Don't stress. You're right, everything happens for a reason!

It's good to know that your time has not yet come. Timing is a great advantage if we really know how to make use of it. But if its about death, it is only God who has the right timing. There are a lot of people who are near death but then something happens that kept them safe and alive. But there are also some who are very careful in their life but death came upon them suddenly.

Oh yes! It seems like things like this happen to me all the time and I'm always late!I try my best to be on time but then, I end up being late again! Talk about car trouble. That seems to be my middle name, lol. My little dog is never ready to come back in when I want her to. Kathy.

Yes, these things happens. Be prepared for them. You may feel frustrated but remember you are just one of us. Experience will teach us patience. That is the learning curve for most parents. We just bear it as the kids grow up!

Hi, mzz663, I agree with you. Timing is Everything. But we always waste time for little things. Somethings I spend a lot of time to think what I have to do. I always leaves thing to tomorrow.

I don't know...I never really think about things this way. Sometimes I worry about this with my husband - what if he gets in an accident because I made him stay late or leave early?
