Peanut butter? LOL That's a new one on me...and yes, do have an old credit card--been meaning to cut them but now have a new use for them...

It's the oil in the peanut butter that makes it work, and it doesn't run because it's thick. Any oil would work, even WD40 which is a fish oil. Old credit cards or plastic membership cards are wonderful things. I use one as a scooper when I'm dicing onions and peppers...lol.

Oh! And they are good for spreading frosting too.

I'll have to remember that about using a credit card for spreading frosting...LOL

well crap! Had I realized all these great uses for credit cards, I would of kept em all after paying them off instead of cutting em up.

Once you get into the habit of using them, you find yourself grabbing them for all sorts of new uses. Visitors probably think I'm addlebrained if they happen to look into drawers and cabinets when they visit. Of course they can't ask about them without letting me know that they've been poking around....

I usually clean my mirrors (and windows) with good old white vinegar but I'll give your suggestion a try..nope my kitties don't lick the mirrors..LOL

This is what I use and it works. You need some elbow grease to go along with it at times. However, acetone is more affective. But most people don't have that around.

Thanks I'll give the eucalyptus oil a try...but no fly spray as that's a chemical--don't even use fly spray when I have flies just a handy rolled up newspaper...I'm good at swatting...LOL

hi pye and guybrush fly swatting with a rolled up newspaper is also good exercise as the fly will evade and duck he he he he.

Hahahaa - good exercise for the fly, Hatley! All that weaving and ducking makes them nice and slim!

Funny I just got peroxide today...no it won't harm the kitties as I've actually used it a few times when one of my cats had a cut--he just wasn't thrilled with the fizzy part..LOL

I agree about Goo-Gone...you don't use much, works on everything....including price stickers from few merchants on items you want to look good....old tape on anything..
I use only healthy solutions at home, but when using goo-gone, I take only few drops directly to the spot. It is similar to orange solvent.

Noooooooo! I would never use that ben-stuff...even I can't stand strong fumes and get asthma like attacks from strong chemical smells even varnishes

I grok. I have asthma, too, & I'm allergic (I get bad headaches) when I smell certain petrochemical scents. Cheap perfume is my ticket to Migraine City!

Had a friend once, though, who had worse reactions than we do. She'd have seizures when she so much as sniffed nail polish or alcohol or anything chemically-smelling/based like that. She finally had to give up working where I did, because she kept having seizures. I feel bad because one day I was using nail polish & I thought she wasn't near enough to be affected, but then she had a seizure a few minutes after I'd even put it away! All she did was walk through my area, & I couldn't even smell it any more!

I'll see about the nail polish remover..I usually don't have it around though since I can't stand the smell

I wonder if rubbing alcohol and the smell would bother me...can't stand strong smells...when I used to do oil painting I had to wear a mask since I couldn't even take the smell of turpentine
