Do you use food storage containers?

i don't use them coz i'm too lazy to take the stuff out of the packaging and put it into another container

I use containers more often then not. Especially veggies. Seems to make them fresh longer.

jugsjugs I had vowed I would do that and had just started to gather some food
storage containers when we were evicted.I do like that idea as it keeps the
food fresher longer than paper or plastic bags. Also the containers fit into
the refrigerator so neatly because they are square and can stack against
each other too. In fact you can even stack them on top of each other if
necessary.

i use storage containers for almost everything or if not containers i use plastic zipper type bags to keep things fresh. we also tend to wash and save old plastic bowls that used to have things like sour cream or butter in them to store things in as well it saves a lot of money though can be slightly confusing at times in the fridge.

I always use them to keep things organized. I even label some of them so that I don't have a hard time finding things. I just don't like things that are disorganized and messy. I also use the storage containers to keep everything fresh, just as you've mentioned.

Yes so are so right and I have been saying that I should really make a commitment o use more containers and less bags.Lately I have been using containers for my salt but that is as far as I have been able to go in that endeavour but eventually I will get there.Thanks for reminding me Sarah

i too use food storage containers, but for bread and stuff i like eating them fresh i don't like the taste when it is stored much longer.

Yes, I use food containers for dog food and cat food. I love to home chicken and turkey soup in them to freeze better. I also put brown sugar in one container and regular sugar in another and flour in another. I keep my curlers in them so they do not get dirty. I use the small ones to put salad dressing in them to take with me to work for my salad. The bags or boxes can get into them and spill them all over the floor. The cats getting on top of my refrigerator and some days when I get home I want to scream at them. I know they had fun but they sure cannot clean up after themselves can (lol) still love and will still clean after them to this day

We use a tin box for our crackers, this box is actually for crackers but not the brand we get. Other thenn that, sugar and flour, we don't use containers. I am sure that when my husband and I get our own place, we will do much the same!

Yes, and smart spin ones are my favorites. I cut out part of the label from what I'm "repackaging" and tape it to the container to identify the contents.

I pour milk out of the cartons into old-fashioned glass milk bottles, too. I think the milk stays fresh longer and tastes better in glass.
