I sure am. I am contemplating a pj day as a matter of fact. I like to avoid the craziness. JC penney started at 4 am. I think that is just too far to go for a deal. Wgot up and went, who stayed in bed?

we sure donot still have the concept of black friday shopping till now but since some of the shopkeepers are trying to ape the western culture to up their sales,it may come into vogue very soon.

I didn't have a choice but to go, I work retail a few hrs a week. Let me tell you that's one day of the holiday season you can't get out of working! Yeah it sux'd I was there @ 3:30am & they were lined up outside. Seriously, it's not like we have some fancy tv's marked down to pennies like the big ticket items @ say best buy or something. But whatever..... There were people who said they have been out since midnight when Toys R Us opened! EEK! That's some hardcore shoppers! Too bad I don't have the money this year to join them nor did I see any deals that interested me.

I can't imagine any sale being worth the crowds that are going to be out today. We always put up our tree today. We have not done it yet because my daughter is still sleeping and we have to go to a wake later todeay. But I have never done the whole black Friday thing unless there are some online sales. I did most my shopping already and I did it on line. My daughter wants all clothes so I have to do her shopping in person, but other than that it is easier to just do it on line as long as shipping is free.

I was up at 4am and at Walmart about quarter to 5. Although it was a madhouse, I was out of the store by 5:30, not bad at all. Got exactly what I wanted. Later in the morning I went to Toys R Us, but the toy I wanted was gone by then. Then back to Walmart for grocery shopping. Just getting in from my day now... waiting for the exhaustion to set in.

I did Black Friday...once. My youngest daughter was asking for a Furby and you couldn't find them anywhere but Toys R Us was going to have them, and at a great price, too! So, my oldest daughter and I got up early and were waiting outside of the store when it opened. It was a mob scene. We got two furbies and tried to shop for other things but you could barely move in the store. Then I caught a woman taking both of my furbies out of my cart and we almost came to blows over them. She insisted that they were not mine...which were now gone...and I insisted that she wasn't going to take three steps before I'd be on her like a pit bull. She saw the light but it certainly wasn't a good way to start off the holiday shopping season.

I am at home right now, and I didn't go to any of those really ridiculous offers! I don't think that it's really worth it to wake up hours earlier to just save five dollars on a sweater... I'm willing to pay. One of my friends, on the other hand, went to walmart at around three this morning just to try and get one of the really cheap TVs. I'll call him and see if he was successful or not!

I avoid Black Fridy like it was the the Black Plague. I actually volunteered to work today so that I knew I wouldn't have to deal with the crowds. People are crazy for running around thinking that they are going to be able to catch all of those deals. I know that you can save some money on the bargins but what about your sanity or the fact that you are more likely to have an accident in the parking lot of a shopping center to save? Did you really save anything?
