Was it worth it all the preparations, the money spend ,the decorations and all the anxiety .Mind you I hope that it is lol .I really didnt make any preparations and so I have very little expectation but then dont let me and my christams pooping way kill your vibe. To all my friends here who have supported me during the year ,I wish you all the best for the day and the upcomming new year. Back to the discussion ,was it worth or did you over do it ?

Yassou Aunty, I'm sure we could manage some of your leftovers. What are we having for dinner then?

YES! It was worth every penny spent, every rushed minute, the love that was shown, caring and generosity from almost strangers. Remembering why we have this celebration which makes it all worthwhile.

Hi white heather: I completely agree with you. What should matters on these days is love: the love we share with our families and the people we know they have their needs and we can help them so we do it; the sensation of being with the ones you love, the simple feeling of celebrating a date that it's very important for us, the Christians make that the time and money you spent worth it. Thanks for your answer. Hope you are having a nice day. Merry Christmas/ Happy Holidays. Take care. -Alvaro.

This year I didn't have the money or the desire to go Big. I had a nice little Christmas.I got most of what I wanted . I gave everyone else what they wanted. I had a great dinner. all in all it was a nice little Christmas. I don't miss the huge deal Christmas was when my mom was alive. Back then I had a big list for me and others. it was fun surprising my mom. But now? I don't have the desire for a huge Christmas.

It was not all that I had hoped for but it was okay, I guess. I always expect it to be more than what it turns out to be. I do make plans but they never work out in the fullest extent though.

Hello my friend ronnyb Ji, I think, by remembering and lighting candle in front of Jesus portrait does not cost anything, but pays more dividend than pomp and show. Happy Chrismas. May God bless You and have a great time.

This day was more than I hoped for and more. Most of the stuff i got was beyond my wonders, but I figured them out before I even got them. Mom didn't like it but I couldn't help myself. I don't wish I could do it over. I'm glad it's over!

I do very little for the holidays. Sometimes I feel like a lazy, ole woman since we don't entertain at our house during the holidays. I am not a good cook. Nobody asks me to bring anything to their house..lol We will take all the beverages for parties at our kid's houses. My back prevents me from standing for long periods of time to try to cook anything. Our kids know this so they don't ask. We went to our friend's house for Christmas dinner and we took a bottle of Kaluha for them to enjoy with their coffee. We really did enjoy the holidays this year. Just wish we could have spent time with our youngest daughter and her family. She lives in a different state and went north to celebrate the holidays with her in-laws. Happy New Year, carolbee

It was worth it, I didn't over do it at all, we decided that this year we weren't going to spend all our money like we usually do. On Thanksgiving, our family drew names and all we had to buy for was a couple people, and a few close friends and that was it. It made it alot simpler and stress free and easier on the wallet, plus things were a little tighter this year than in the past. Our family had our Christmas dinner and gift exchange yesterday on Christmas Eve, so today everybody was free to do what they wanted or go to the in-laws or whatever, we went to some friends house, ate dinner with them and I didn't have to do anything but sit there and wait, which is a change for me, I'm used to the one being in the kitchen all day, but it was good. I hope everybody had a good day today and didn't over do it.

I can honestly say that Christmas was a great day especially the early morning when my daughter found what ‘Santa’ left for her! It was magic! We had a lovely day at home and headed to my parents’ house for Christmas dinner and my sister got me quite inebriated with her special margaritas! I had not been in that ‘state’ for years and although I am not planning to do it again for a while, it was fun and even my mother was tipsy! So to answer your question yes I did overdo it but it was well worth it!

It is simply never up to standard if you ask me. I always have extremely high hopes for christmas and thats why i find myself going all out: buying the best gifts, making the most ellaborate decorations, trimming the tree perfectly, and making all of those black friday sales. I hate to say it but the anticipation and preparation are actually much more fun and exciting than the actual event! I think at times we forget that we dont have the perfect family, and this misperception tends to get us into some trouuble!

Hi ronny, christmas pooping, good one. Well we don't do christmas either and I love it, no feeling obliged to be somewhere, no extra money spent or preparations. I bought my son what he wanted which isn't as annoying as I thought so that was good, just have to hope his birthday present gets delivered on time in 3 days.

Hi Ronnyb, As in the past years, I prepare food a little more than what we can consume, in anticipation of expected and unexpected visitors. I don't think that I've overdone it, there was enough for everyone, just a little left-over food which I appreciate because we still have food after Christmas. I like celebrating Christmas because of my kids, I love seeing how happy they are when the open their presents. Of course they both know that more than the gifts, Christmas is about the birth of Jesus.

Hi ronnyb: I think it was worth for me all the preparations and that basically yesterday was a very good night, even better than what i was expecting abou the night. I had the oportunity to talk with one of my favorite ants and the food was simply delicious. I don't have anything but possitive things about yesterday night and the best part it's that i feel good now even if i was awake until 2am. Thanks for asking me this question. Hope you are having a nice day. Merry Christmas/ Happy Holidays. Take care. -Alvaro.

Christmas was not something that I expected this year because my sister's husband arrived from the US all of a sudden. We all thought that he was arriving on February. But I guess he misses my sister.

Yes. I am glad that I did not went through a high fly about Christmas. I am feeling very sick today with the Flu. So, I am glad that I did not decorate or have a big event going on at my house. I am cooking a simple meal for Christmas dinner. Since I am feeling very bad, I can't really enjoy myself this Christmas. But, I am happy to be alive on this day and I am very happy to see my kids loving the gifts that I got for them. Even though I am sick, I still feel joy in my heart for this special day! Merry Christmas, ronnyb!

We did it just right, its just the four of us so we got a ham with all the sides. The kids got what we wanted them to have, I got what I wished for and so did my wife. Wrapping paper is all over the floor, dinner is in the oven and Christmas movies are on the television. Tomorrow the real tree goes in the dumpster, the decorations go to Goodwill and my house is back in order.

Hi,today for me?? i haven't felt any difference with others except receiving many greetings from my friends.anywhy i'm not a american so even many of my friends regard today as a important day,but i'm still alone and do what i normally do.acturally i was very want to go with my girl friend today, then it will be a little romantic, but we didn't study in the same college.only one thing may be what i expected that's the party in the night.although i have used to being alone, but taking in party occasionally will make me very comfortable.

Well, it was worth for me. We have consumed all we have prepared and really achieved the christmas way we wanted in the family and relatives as well. Spending christmas really is in the heart of any person. It really do not matter if it is extravagant or not. What matter is that you spent in nicely and celebrated it peacefully with many good wishes and touched one's life. That is the real essence for me when christmas comes. ADvance happy new year~!@!

Its been lovely seeing family really, I woke up with my family and now we're over with my other half's. The best part really is all the males trying to work out how to connect an xbox 360 to live and all getting REALLY frustrated! HAH! oh the wonders of christmas. (:
