Biden has done it again. You have to admit he is an interesting VP. YOu never know what he is going to do or say.Well this time he did a doosey.
The PM of Ireland was visiting the White House yesterday. Well Biden took a few minutes to "honor" the PM's mother..saying "god rest her soul"....well she is still alive. It was the PM's father who had died.
Biden then said:
"Wait ... your mom’s still, your mom is still alive. It was your Dad (who) passed. God bless her soul. I gotta get this straight," Biden said.
LOL...ya Biden..there are alot of things you have a hard time keeping straight...but at least you are good for comic relief.
Tell me what you think.

I saw the clip of it this morning. That was hilarious. Just think. That's the guy who's a heartbeat away from teh presidency. Now that's something that's not so funny!

At least IMO he would be better than Obummer he seems to be a nice guy and obviously does not only say what the teleprompter says whereas I find Obummer to be lost if every word is not pre written on his teleprompter and he also comes across as supercilious and malicious.

I thought it was funny too. Most Biden makes harmless mistakes...funny but harmless. So I am not really worried about him so much.
I do have to say Biden is more likable because of it than Obama. Shows he's not always perfect and has a sense of humor.

I think we needed some comic relief after 8 years of Cheney hiding out in undisclosed locations and shooting his friends in the face. I do find myself actually listening to him when he's on the tube...but usually it's just to see what's going to come out of his mouth next.

I was almost afraid to start reading this discussion because I was worried it would turn into an attack-fest against the V.P. I'm glad that most here realize Biden's gaffes are pretty harmless and I must agree, he does bring a smile to my lips fairly often.
I have to say that being from an area where everyone has followed Joe Biden's career since day one since he's one of us, originally from the area, nobody has to worry that he'll get anything important to our national security mixed up or anything like that. He's a very intelligent and capable guy. He's also kind of like everyone's favorite uncle or one you wish you had in that he's very warm hearted and it's in his nature to try to make a personal connection with those he meets, whether it's a head of state or the old lady who lived down the street from him when he was a kid. I guess when you meet and deal with an enormous number of people and try to "know" them all it's more likely that you'll forget a few details now and then.
Then there's his penchant for speaking his mind, no matter what...
For example, when he made his "controversial" remarks about how he told his family not to fly during the swine flu scare he was speaking as a concerned father and grandfather and not as a V.P. You know how that works - you can KNOW in your mind that there's no need to panic over something and that if you were to tell people to fly or go wherever they want to and not be afraid you wouldn't be lying or giving bad advice but in the back of your mind there's the idea that for YOUR family you don't want to take any chances!

Na...I don't attack Biden for his gaffs. he is actually amusing and harmless when he does them. I laugh..but not in a mean way.
You just never know what he is going to do next....but you know you want to know about it when it does because it is going to be funny.

One can't help but have a certain fondness for Biden. As gaff prone as he is, and as bad as the gaffs seem to be, the results are usualy harmless....hillarious...but harmless. I think most world leaders know before hand when they meet biden to expect nearly anything to come out of his mouth and I don't think too many take it too seriously and probably see it as one of his charms.
KEEP THE BIDEN COMMING

Remember what Biden said, "I have forgotten more about foreign policy than most even know". Well this is just one of those things that Biden has forgotten about.
How hard would it have been for Biden to have asked someone if it was the father or the mother before he made the statement?
