What kind of mower do you use?  

We have a push mower, but it isn't effective in our garden. There is lots of rough terrain, which push mower can't handle. We usually invite a guy with trimmer, so he does all the mowing. In some places the grass grows so big, that an ordinary mower couldn't handle it, but trimmer is perfect for taking down this long grass.

we have a gas push mower that works indifferently even with maintenance.
all lawn mowers seem to be tempermental on this grass tho.very thick and wet whatever type it is.

I have a self propelled Cub Cadet. It's awesome, but this year I laid out a pretty intense garden. I don't have a whole lot of turf left. Maybe a 60x60 spot in front and a few strips in the backyard. I ended up investing in a used tiller. I use it more. I don't believe in spending a lot of $$ on mowers. The Cub is extravagant, but it was a gift. I usually buy used mowers. I have a guy downtown that specializes in them. Once a year I break them down, change the gaskets, oil, air filter, and plugs. I had a used mower for 7 years. The engine still ran great, but the frame rusted out. 7 years on a $50 mower. I'll take that deal any day. Love & Luck.

I live way out in the country, and we have huge lawn areas. I have a riding mower, and with that it takes about 4 hours just on the mowing (I know... I shoulda got a bigger mower deck!) I also have a medium sized self-propelled mower, and a smaller mower that isn't self-propelled for those areas that are harder to reach. Ours are all powered with gas. Glad your mower is a good one. Our riding mower is a used one, but it had very few driving hours on it and was just like new. When I look for mowers I usually look for somebody that's moving, and they're not wanting to transport the mower in their move. I've lucked out lots of times that way :-)

My husband has a red riding mower that he bought from Lowes. I don't know what brand it is because I never use it. He likes mowing the lawn and so does my youngest daughter...and I don't...so that works out just fine.

Yeah, I cut so many yards as a teenager that I pretty much refuse to do it myself anymore! Anyway, today's teens have to earn a living too, right? Funny, I can't even remember what happened to my last mower since it has been so long ago. Oh so true about spending money on stuff. I've bought 3 coffee makers in a row that cost upward of $50 each - each one was a shiny, futuristic-looking piece of crap! Now I've got a $12 one and it just keeps brewing without any problems at all. If I still had my mower, I would run over the last coffee maker that I bought with it!

I have a gas-powered walk-behind mower that hasn't seen much use in the last year. My neighbor's brother in law mows my yard because my back can't take the strain of mowing and he uses my neighbor's mower which is self-propelled. It will soon be time to mow the yard, hooray!

hi! I don't have a mower and I have never used one, because we don't have a yard with some grass to mow, but years ago i have used a tassel, guess you have seen some like that and know what I am talking about :) it is really cool but it is also dangerous, it is much more dangerous than the mower!

We have a self propelled gas push mower. We've had a riding mower in the past but with our yard being the size that it is and with the walkway that you have to use to get from the front of the house to the back of the house, that isn't even an option for us right now. I do like the self-propelled mower that we have though. It makes cutting the grass fairly easy and it does cut it to a level that we are comfortable with.
