Go out more this summer  

This winter was really long here, we were constantly having snow. It was beautiful but I am very glad it's warming up here and we can enjoy the warmer weather. I like the warm weather because rain feels good in warm weather and just water etc. I also like to go out and enjoy the day.

If we had a digital camera I'd of taken a picture and uploaded it on to mylot, it's so pretty out!

Yea I wouldn't like temperatures that got up that high or constant tornadoes, I'd be afraid I wouldn't be able to do anything because of those two things. We have tornadoes maybe a few a year, but it never gets up that high, or if it has it's very rare!

If it didn't get that hot where you are I don't think it'd be that bad, I'm not really sure what causes tornadoes so I don't know if the weather has something to do with or not... lol.

Oh, dear! Tornadoes? We have had a seldom few here and only very small ones. And I also hate the extreme heat. When it gets to 90 degress Farenheit, I am just toasted and exhausted. Don't want to do anything, but lie around and find somewhere cool and something cool to drink. I get heat stroke very easily, so I really have to watch it when I have to work in the heat. So, I try to do most of my work in the morning and evening hours

I haven't went swimming in a while either. I don't know that we will swim but we'll definitely have fun just fishing and relaxing. Yep we were just chatting on the other site!

Yeah.. whooo,... just imagine the waves and the beautiful view.. I feel like taking a bath now. Totally hot now..

well to fish we'll be going to a pond or something. Hmm, but when we do go to the ocean I may play in the water a bit.

Yeah.. love beaches.. Love ponds.. hmmmm

I'd like to take horseback riding lessons, the farm across from us offers them I believe, but I think it'd most likely be expensive. My dream is to one day own a farm but to be honest I'm not sure that I could handle it yet. I believe the dream will come true. Sorry for blabbing though... Hmm Fishing and horseback riding. I haven't talked to my husband yet about maybe going fishing more this summer but I will when he gets home, I'm sure he won't complain, he's been working hard and neeeds the rest and relaxation.

I've seen wood chips in gardens but never realized they help prevent weeds! If that's the case we should try that here!

Yep! Big wood chips and lots of them, nice and thick. But I'm waiting till my first bulbs come up first, so I don't bury them, too. If I did, they would just take longer to fight their way through them, that's all. Part of the garden, around my perennial shrubs that are there all year, I put a layer of filter cloth down on the ground first, then put the wood chips on. That will pretty much stop ALL the weeds. The wood chips alone, only slow them down. But I can't put the cloth over my bulbs or I'll lose them for good.

Yes, me and my husband enjoy fishing together quite alot. One of the reasons I want to do more of it. It is alone time, relaxing and fun, too, because we always bring home a good catch and are able to brag about it to our friends. Although, we usually share the feast with them if they didn't come along.

Thanks for the tip about the wood chips. As for fishing, my husband has fished before but I don't think he ever brought any home to be cooked, I don't know how to cook it and I doubt my MIL would want to. We'll be fishing with a friend though so he may take them, I don't know.

Ha, ha. Me and my husband are avid fishers. When we first met, he taught me how to clean them, free of bones, called 'filletting'. So, he jokes about how many I catch and we made this deal, way back then, that he still makes me stick to. He drives the boat, and whoever catches the most fish has to clean them all. So, it is always ME that cleans them all, cause I always catch the most. And usually the biggest for the day, too. So, I don't mind, because I get to have bragging rights. And we mostly catch Bass and Pickerel, which are very delicious to eat.

Now I'm dying to go fishing. And I don't think we have any leftover in the freezer from last year to eat now either. Cause talking about this, has made my mouth water for some Bass or Pickerel. Oh, well. I guess I'll have to wait until June 21st when the season opens here. Pooh!

We tried to plant vegetables a few years ago but the deer, and coyote's would eat it. We had tomatoes last year on a makeshift topsy turvy type thing. Pretty nice, and they were delicious. I hope you get all you'e planned done this summer, but don't forget to have some fun as well!

I don't blame you for staying home and watching t.v., you were going into college, that's what I did. I mean, I didn't go into college but I think the summer after high school I worked and watched t.v., I hung out with people but still it was more watching t.v. and sleeping.

I haven't been swimming in a few years. It was fun to swim, felt like you were somewhere else entirely when in the water. Larger as in a bigger pool I guess right? how deep does it go?

Oh I haven't ridden a bike in a few years but they are fun to ride, just enjoying the weather! I hope you do go out and have some fun on a nice day. Maybe pack a picnic basket and just have fun!

Well I ain't NEVER been so it'll be a new experience for me.

I love going out on the lake by myself at night and just relaxing, kicking back watching the stars and waiting for a fish to hit the line...

It seems realaxing, we'd have to drive to a lake or fishing hole, none on our property but husband's coworker does.

I hope your able to go out to the beach more often too. We all needs some R & R sometime, so I hope this summer proves to be a nice relaxing one for you!
