We have many topics to talk aboutAvani .It is absolutely true .But whether we are interesting should be agreed by everyone else and we ourselves cannot say thta isn't it?

No we can't but I have my hubby's friends who come over and if I have to be sitting there all that I hear is their office work, politics and I feel that is really boring at least for me.

We have different areas of nterst and when we come to terms wiht this it becomes easy for us. I talk to ht emen in my house about some topics that are of common interest because I have cultivated an interest in theirs.Howver, when the topic is not intersting then I do my own thing like reading or browsing.

I knew that thsi would put the back up of some people and would elicit a reaction like "don't men talk?"-
Unfortunately women are wired to have more words at their disposal an d this gives rise to these genderized remarks Sudipta.But, one thing we have to agree. We would talk a lot but it is not that we are always totally open because we are saying so many things on an issue.We may stil have somethig else within..And I do agree women are the first to go blahblah and be an AIR.[thIS may be greater in revealing other people's stories--this is from my personal observation of a close person who would be secretive with her own news but most liberal in painting other people and spreading gossip. An artist would be put to shame.

Wow! Now I just don't know who to give the BR to.I first read SViswan's and thought it was a very objective one and here I read yours .It is a fantastic , open response and I congratulate you for this.

What an honest answer! I too am a pretty open person but the only difference is that I also take things at their face value.I will say somehtings unnecessarily and a smarter woman would win over me if the situation arises.I cannot assess a person properly though at times I am sensitive to their minds and their thinking processes.But the fact remains that all women do talk much more than men.Whether they are totally honest or not is another question.Thanks SV for thta great answer.

No compromise on my honesty when I am talking to anyone...I am pretty straightforward too...and I can also put across to a person that I am not 'revealing' all in a very 'twisted' way...that they do not even realize...lol.
It's a skill I have been born with and not developed. If some of my 'close friends' would get to know even a small percentage of what I have hidden, they would be shocked...the way I come across, they would never have expected that from me.
Another point is that I am very open and straightforward in my opinions and viewpoints...it is probably the experiences that make me think that way that I would hide and not many people are inquisitive enough to ask why my mind works that way.

THose inner thoughts would be apart of every woman SV however honest they are.THey would have amultitude of thoughts flittin g in an dout and it is not possible to say everything.

I'm not sure if I can agree to that. Some women believe in going with the flow and having their 'thoughts' told to them. I'm not sure if it is because they are raised that way or they have developed it as part of their individuality....they believe and accept what is said in the Manusmriti...and it isn't really a forced acceptance. Some women have very simple thoughts and there might be nothing for them to reveal except to accept what has been told to them. At the same time there are others (like my mother) who blabber the first thing that comes to mind...she literally is like an open book...anything and everything is out there for whoever wants to know. Except probably the husband-wife relationship...she is just open about everything about her life.
And I have met quite a few women who are quite vocal about all their ideas and thoughts. Maybe I am not wired that way.

Ocean this happens to many of us and this is what we call loud thinking.We are emotional and talk a lot to relieve us of our problems.Men would consider too much of emotion a burden.

You know its a pleasure giving me time and my ideas about lots of stuff . Specially if it concerns my newly found friends in mylot, hey if you need my opinion in just bout anything you should know that im always here to help and share as well.

Noone can deny it Rose that women are much better equipped to handle so many things, have great multitasking capabilities etc.
Unfortunatley, the fact about us beig more talkative has also been scientifically proved .But if you objectively analyse, are all women always open?[This is only in relation and in proportion to the way they talk-Read Sandhya's answer and it is pretty objective.There are no aspersions cast on our capabilities.I just wanted to know if women have hidden thoughts also.I can say I am a straightfrward person who cannot keep secrets from my family but I may talk a lot to others without revealing all thta goes on within my mind.Don't you agree?We would talk to everyone and that too for hours together but there may still be some thoughts within.
