they found no other cancer.
They found three cancers in the sack around the heart. So I'm full of holes, but the cancer in my lung is still there.
They took one of the cancers in the sack and determeined it was cancer. They sewed me back up.
So I had a scopy, just not the one I thought.
They gave a choice of one chemo, two chemos or hospice. I don't feel like hospice. Not really intesested in diving into more chemo when I'm not done healing from this yet.
But it's not as bad as I thought. Because it wasn't in the lung, I don't hurt when I breathe. I can get comfy in certain positions and stay there.
So now you know the result.
I'll be off line quite often resting and thinking what to do next.

Other than sore, not bad.
Thank you, I was never go glad to be home in all my life. You hit the nail on the head. You're so good at that. You should have been a psych. of some type,

Here, Psych can mean psychiatrist, psychologist, or psychic.
We call psychopaths, "psycho." I thought the confusion might be between learned and natural abilities or level of education.
We also use Psych! like Psyched you out! (Played with your head and won like the French touche -with an accent mark at the end- for psychologically 'got you.")
I assure you, I meant it as a completment.

You don't sound like hospice either, if you don't need pain control. Make the most of your time with your husband and your opportunity for creativity. May the Lord prolong your life. Do please get to know Him better through the Bible, especially John's Gospel.

My family exists because of prayer and the Bible. My Dad was supposed to kill his Mom. My Dad was the first cecerean section in our area. The Dr. predicted that both he and my Grandmother would die. He was just hoping to save one or the other. Every relative we had alive at the time prayed. They both lived. My Grandfather read the Bible every day and could read it in French, Latin, and English.
I don't think you have to worry about this too much.

I'd like to draw out a little more of your testimony, WS. Presumably you don't believe that your grandfather's mind transmigrated into yours, so presumably you don't believe that you intrinsically know everything he ever knew, so presumably you read the Bible for yourself at least as avidly as he did?
My godmother, who was also a writer, fairly well known in her time, told me that John's Gospel was probably her favourite Gospel. It was from that that I read out to her on the last occasion I saw her.

Oh, I'm sorry Writer....
All I can say is I am praying and thank you for the update. For some reason I thought you were in remission, but you are not? You get your rest, and though I don't want to think the worse, I hope you have a friend who can get on your mylot profile in case you can not, to let me know your progress...

You've missed a few of my discussions. If you go back thru, you'll find that around Movemeber we found it had spread to the lung and to the left side of my abdomin. Then different chemo and it had shrunk the abdomin and deflated the lung one. Then the abdomin got gone or maybe it went north to my heart, who knows now, but the lung one grew again. Then this. Now you're cuaght up. So you're about 3 to 5 discussions behind.

I think it's best when you're in college to concentrate on college. You weren't getting notifications for a while, too.
Oh yes, I know he knows. I'm sure things will improve eventually.

I just happened to come across this discussion while going through interests. I'm sorry you are battling cancer, but I'm glad that you can at least be comfortable. I hope that you will find your way to recovery. I wouldn't choose hospice either if there were other choices to treat me to recover. I would only choose hospice if there was no hope. Hospice is great. I would have loved to have become a hospice nurse, but I never did.

I agree with all that you wrote.
I think you would have probably been a great hospice nurse. Take care.

I do not understand why they could not go ahead and get the one in your lungs as well, but I am not a doctor. I know not all chemos are the same. Think well, friend and pray and see what your heart tells you about all of this.

I know. Hard to wrap your head around, isn't it?
OK, the CT scan shows cancer as white, bones as white, blood vessals as white, your heart as white. Everything else it black. So the ones behind the heart were invisible just as any in my bones or blood vessals would be. The one in the lung is the only one they can see. It's not that big. The lung one is the one they can see and is the one that will tell them if I'm getting better, worse, or staying the same.
I don't know why they didn't take out the other two in the heart sack. But they seem to believe that where there is smoke, there is fire. There are probably cancers other places, we just can't see them.
The worst one is the lung one. If we kill or shrink that, then we kill or shrink them all.

GOOD!! No other cancer. The cancer around the heart doesn't sound good. So you had the type of surgery you wanted, right? Glad to hear the surgery is over. I wouldn't want to start chemo right away either. I know there are nutrients you can take after chemo to help. Take care.

You don't understand.
If only the spot on the lung and nothing else, then they would take it out. They found cancer around the heart sack, so that is other cancer. So they put a bunch of holes in me and didn't take out the cancer in the lung. Camera hole, instrument hole, etc.

Glad you came back here - if even for a moment. I know you have some thinking to do (but please do rest!). So they didn't even touch the lung I take it? But like you said, so good you are not in pain when you're breathing - more oxygen in makes the healing faster! We'll be blowing on more dandelions as you recover from this and figure out which road to take next. Take care and get lots of rest!!

I hope it's a long dandelion season!
Dandelion has some relatives you might want to check out. Goat's beard, oyster plant, and salsify I think are all dandelion looking, but are at different times during the year.
They put a scope down to look at it, so they touched the lung alright, but they did not take out the lung cancer. See my response to Garden Gerty to try to understand more. It's hard.
Yes, I'm resting well. Since I'm not supposed to drive for 4 weeks or lift more than 10lbs, resting is about all I can do now.
Thanks for the continued dandelion wishes!

Hi writers
I would suggest you more of rest than the thinking as it might be stressful. Maybe after a while when you start feeling better after this scopy.
I pray for your good health, speedy recovery and the good health needed to heal the other two. I do appreciate your decision to heal from this one before thinking or even taking up the chemo.
The better thing that I find here is that you have a cleaner lung now and you can breathe - maybe early morning walks or even a stay at some resort in a greener surrounding would help heal faster

The things was, if only the one spot in the lung, they would take it out. They found the ones in the heart sack in the back of the lung. So they did not take out the lung one. Only the one sample from the heart sack to make sure it really was a cancer.

Actually the picture is kinda old already so I'm planning to change it some time soon, I have 3 children now ( another boy) and that young boy in the picture is the same one who fought in the karate tournament ( my past post)and he just turned 16. We are 5 in the family plus my mom and that makes 6 praying for you to get well.
