That used to be like a bible in our household . We have other versions of dictionaries too in our library.
They are now languishing. I wonder if book shops have them for sale as I doubt anyone would want to buy dictionaries...

There was a time we went about looking for dictionaries as one was not enough. We really did not need that many but yes we had a collection - Oxford, Chambers.....the works.

I suppose a lot of us still have dictionaries around the house, though you can now access a number of good ones online. But, back before the internet (yes, some of us were alive then) many people kept this rather large book around...

I have many text books from when I was in college. Did you keep your text books? I did keep a few that my daughter was surprised to see me putting on my new book shelf. I have my French Textbook and I just put it on the new shelf....

Technology has been advancing so fast that the old bulky dictionaries we used to carry all along when we were still in grade school ages back, are now replaced with the stylish, handy and more convenient electronic dictionaries....

I was given a 'dream dictionary' for a present. One of the ones that has an alphabetical list of things like 'raven, river, robber' and then says what it means if you dream about a raven, river, robber etc.
Now I do find it...
