if dogs are colorblind then why are their toys all bright colors?

Maybe I'm just really cheap but this is what I've been doing. My dog currently has 12 toys. She gets 3 at a time until the toys are in need of repair. I then repair them and wash them. I give her 3 "new" toys from the bin....
