Courtship

Courtship in 1805. It was another world when gentlemen kissed a lady's hand, held the door open for her, and pulled the chair out for her. I love the piano in the background. In those days, a well-bred lady had to be accomplished in art, music, Greek, Latin, and literature. Although most women didn't work at the time, they needed to keep their minds active in order to entertain high society.
