When compact fluorescents became the bulb to choose, disposing of spent bulbs became an issue. Fluorescents, including tubes, were never meant to enter landfills. Towns and cities scurried to come up with a safe means of disposal....

I just found out today that about 15-20 years ago where our subdivision is used to be a landfil!!! This explains a whole lot of things!!!
One it explains why the grass won't stay alive. We have resod the yard 4 times to no avail...
