We're getting a lot of okra from our garden now and we love it. I have always chopped it up into about 1/2 inch pieces, toss it with yellow corn meal, salt and pepper and fry it in a little oil. Divine.

Years ago my husband grew okra in our garden and it was always so delicious and fresh.
I hated picking it because it's prickly, but it was worth it. We haven't grown any for a long time...I would just buy the frozen breaded okra...
