Laurie1986 If you're privately exchanging information, that's a different story. If myLot allowed people to place affiliate links or referral links in the discussions, this place would become nothing more than an advertising board in ten minutes. There's nothing wrong...

Laurie1986 I think it does work, but only to a minimum--and you're correct: when faced with a choice, it's so much better to wear a properly fitting white outfit than a horribly tight (or baggy) black one. That said, when choosing between two properly fitting outfits,...

We all know how conservatives have consistently been arguing that Americans who are uninsured can get care by simply visiting their local emergency room. Rep. Paul Broun (R-GA) said to a caller on CSPAN's Washington Journal in...

Laurie1986 Great discussion starter, Annie. Even if this were not true (and, really, who's surprised?), the emergency room is only a fix if you need emergency care. If you break your arm, you can go to the ER and get it set and get some pain meds. If you get cancer,...

Laurie1986 This is such big news in the world of media. Oprah Winfrey has made such an enormous accomplishment. A woman not born into money or prestige of any kind, who built an empire based on her own talent and drive. I know she rubs some people the wrong way because...

How would people survive without internet??

3 responses

Laurie1986 Many of us could not. My biology teacher used to say that once our society advances in technology, we cannot go back. This holds true with the ease of access to information that is brought to us through the Internet. As society advances, it's almost like we...

Laurie1986 And what if he doesn't see reason? You're talking about men in general, not men with PTSD and serious anger issues. If he is in a prolonged state of disturbed thinking, then his "heat of the moment" is going last much longer than the typical moment. It might...

Laurie1986 I agree completely. What a refreshing story. We hear so much about how nobody puts any value into marriage anymore, and nobody cares about relationships and they'd rather just give up, get divorced/break up and start a new one. Apparently this guy never got...

Laurie1986 I'm really into "Modern Family" this season. It's a new show on ABC and it's very funny and touching. The premise has been done to death, but the execution is very fresh and witty and the dialogue is great. I think it's going to be one of those shows that...

The skin tone must be another factor which needs to be considered while buying lipsticks. Woman who are fair should use lipstick of dark or bright shades. The can even use dramatic shades which will garnish their fair color

7 responses

Laurie1986 That's good because I am very fair and I use some very deep-colored lipsticks. :) Of course, I have more neutral shades as well because I like to mix it up, but my more preferred lipsticks are usually a bit bolder. I don't have any really garish ones, though,...
