Vikings Are Funny

Go Crossbones @crossbones27 (54196) • Mojave, California 29 Jul 23

Maybe none of you vikings anymore but I found this neat and comments from Scottland were funny. "I am Scottish and I felt this" Maybe you are viking and do not know. They dominated the land, may not have won in terms of land war...

Torunn The Vikings admitted their mistakes and changed their ways? Where did you find that? They got into troubles when the rest of Europe got better weapons than them, and they Christianity happened in a not all too pleasant way. Wouldn't say it was admitting to...

It actually rained in the Bay Area yesterday!

The Horse @TheHorse (241149) • Walnut Creek, California 19 Sep 22

It wasn't a deluge, but I'd bet we got the better part of an inch. I can't remember the last time it rained here. I heard the unmistakable sound of water in the gutters when I woke yesterday and just lay in bed and enjoyed it....

Torunn All that rain that the rest of Europe really wants, we're still getting it. The wettest summer in 40 years, then some really nice autumn weeks in august/september. However, the rain decided we couldn't risk that the wet areas dried up (it's been wet since...

Welcome September

Anna @LadyDuck (505500) • Italy 1 Sep 22

Summer is not my favorite season. I like the long days, but I dislike the heat, the humidity and cooking in the heat. This first day of September is nice and cool. I can start planning more interesting meals. To celebrate the...

Torunn September seems to be the first really nice month in half a year, so my plan is to walk a lot in the forest, ride a competition outside, and possibly get some nice pictures of autumn colours. Breakfast looks fantastic. I've gotten hooked on cantuccini and...

Not What I Had in Mind for International Dog Day

Jeff Moffitt @moffittjc (129083) • Gainesville, Florida 27 Aug 22

I think I've only written about this once, but we have a dog named Parker. A cute little mutt, but a royal pain in the ass. Anyway, it wasn't really our dog, but my daughter and I agreed to "temporarily" take ownership of him. He...

Torunn I've had to put down several horses, and we had cats when I still lived at home, and at some point you have to let them go. It's definitly not my favourite part of having an animal, but knowing when it's over is part of the job IMO. But I never had to make...

****DANIELLE**** @VivaLaDani13 (47769) • Perth, Australia 21 Aug 22

I don't even want to tell you all that's being going on. Let's just say, I've been hurt in a major way, again. Please don't ask. And maybe this is a phase but I just feel like making changes. Some positive, some negative and just...

Torunn How blonde do you want to go? If you just go blonder, no need to worry, I think that'll be fine. But if you want to try the really blonde, nearly white or the other trendy one, the nearly grey, I would try a wig or maybe some photoshopping first. I've got...

School Grades - Good, Medium, or Bad?

Terri Doss @gtdoss (1013) • United States 20 Aug 22

I didn't do so well in elementary, middle, or high school. My grades were kind of a mixture of good and bad, depending on what the subject was. I did great in English and Art and Physical Education, but I did pretty terribly at...

Torunn I got good notes in most subject except sports, all the way through my third year in university. Then I had to start doing more, and it took a year before I figure out how much and my grade went up again. And as a former math teacher I do know that it's...

What did you have for breakfast this morning?

The Horse @TheHorse (241149) • Walnut Creek, California 20 Aug 22

I had a slice of bacon and a fried egg for breakfast this morning. I also had a bit of French bread with butter (unsalted). It was delicious! I had to teach a guitar lesson at 10 AM, so I could not have anything "elaborate." But...

Do mosquitoes really bite?

Xavier Bage @franxav (14651) • India 4 Aug 22
