I work in a nursery in a school. I enjoy cooking, reading, knitting, walks in the countryside and staying at our caravan at the seaside. I hate bad manners.

I took Pretty for her doctor appointment at 4 pm yesterday but had forgotten how fast it gets dark now. I couldn't see highway signs or turns if they weren't lit up. I followed another car's taillights back to Aurora and then...

When I was actively teaching at DVC, I would grade papers until I passed out, usually at about 11 PM.
At this point, I usually pass out by 9 PM.
At what point in the evening do you usually "call it a day"?.

I have no idea why we left at 3:30am just to stop in New Mexico at 1:30pm for the night. Especially, since we couldn’t get into the hotel until 3pm. BUT, the kids are keeping everyone entertained, and I’m keeping quiet when a...

While eating breakfast I decided to watch an episode of Chicago PD. Everything was going well until shots started firing in the episode. I guess it startled me because I jumped and the coffee from the cup I was holding ended up...

We went for a walk at Lesmurdie Falls. Lesmurdie is a suburb of Perth and the falls are pretty insignificant really. But we had a pleasant time with our two Bavarian guests. The first people we met there were also from Germany....

I have been on a hard boiled egg kick over the past week or two. I was able to score a dozen eggs for only $4.99 or $5.99. I forget which.
I have been boiling a couple up at a time and putting them in the fridge. I can grab one...

There are many talented people scattered throughout Western Australia and one of them resides in the central wheatbelt area. She is responsible for some lovely murals, mostly of native Australian birds and wildflowers. The photo...

Before I left to get the mail, I was playing phone tag--I was supposed to make an appointment with this lady and my case worker said she'd drive me, and then she said she couldn't do it on Wednesday (when my original appointment...

Honestly, I can’t believe how well-remembered yesterday’s song was! Thanks for all the great comments, everyone! Today we’ll stay in the 70s, and a moog synthesizer (although it was a lot smaller by the time this song rolled...

As you know by now, George has a procedure scheduled for the 20th of this month for peg tube removal/replacment. Since he'll be put under for a short time, there's a whole lot going on. They treat it as if he were literally going...

It has been a fad for awhile now. It is made with pistachio, and some say it is delicous and others not so much. I happened to be in Walmart today and saw it in their candy section. This was like a Lindt Dubai chocolate bar. There...

The boys like to take my chair if I am not in it.
Bob came in and told me "You've GOT to see this." So I took a picture.
I seldom get to sit in my own chair.

It took them a very long time to refund me by doing it in stupid increments like 48 cents and a...

Have you seen the commercial for Reese’s Oreo cups? Instead of just Reese’s peanut butter cups we now have Reese’s and Oreos combined. That’s way too rich for me. I’d fall into a sugar coma. Would you try one?
