Jim Bauer Drinking and writing are definite real bedside companions. Not sure why that is. But yes, it also seems to be more prevalent in those genres where readers must have their beliefs suspended quite a bit to make the story convincing. Maybe our own "escape" is...

Met friends to do trail maintenance on a very pretty hike. The hike is pretty , but whether we are hiking it or maintaining it, I'm mostly struggling to keep up

paigea It was a trail Maintenance day. The people pushing the big machines and carrying the weed whackers are not waiting for slow people. On hike days they go try to find a balance for all speeds.
