So I gather we shot down the Chinese weather and spy balloon today.
I am glad that they waited until it was over the Atlantic Ocean.
Will we learn anything new from the balloon? I have no clue.
Would the US admit it is it...

It's tax season here in the US or A. I'm thinking since taxes was originally only ever meant to be temporary (boy did that get out of hand) could all US citizens simply refuse to pay it?
Another question, could we claim the US...

I like eggs So many delicious dishes can be fixed with eggs. How about ham and eggs? Or quiche? A nice omelet or tasty egg salad? There is a lot to be said about eggs. But lately, the price of a dozen of the little gems has...

koopharper I've heard a popular Youtuber go off on this and I kind of question how much he knows about chickens. He said that people have noticed that their hens slowed egg production in September and they stopped by November. That's actually normal in small home flocks....

Firstly, two jokes about farmers and farming to justify the photo of a John Deere tractor.
1 If you think you’re a person of influence, try ordering someone else’s dog around. And
2 A bee is a lot faster than a John Deere...

I just gobbled up the last "inch" of my burrito from the other day, along with three slices of bacon. That should keep me going through a two hour morning helping out at my friend's day care.
Outside it is raining lightly, as it...

Good morning friends.
We have a big heat wave here and that helps tohave huge forest fires. Some of them might have been started intentionally , some fores start due to stupidity of people (light cigarettes thrown...

koopharper Forest fires are scary and do a lot of damage. The little town we live in is largely abandoned because of a big one back in the fifties. It destroyed the local logging businesses and did a great deal of damage to the local farms. Our nearest neighbor says his...

For the last several days, a mysterious balloon has been floating over Montana. The object hovered over nuclear silos. It is the size of three buses and has heavy equipment dangling off of it. US officials think it is a Chinese...

My sister went in to surgery on time at 10 a.m. We were told that in the best case scenario the surgery would take an hour.
At 11:15 the surgeon came in to tell us that everything went as planned, so basically it did take just an...

Basically, what I got is anything to do with Chiefs, Bangles and Bills in playoffs will be played on a neutral site. If Chiefs win today which I think is very iffy because Raiders finally fully healthy and they dangerous.
Its...

This one came at a price for me too and...

koopharper I understand the concept of an outdoor cat for mice control but they do need shelter from the weather. Farm cats are welcome in the barn. We have an outdoor feral cat that we feed regularly. He sleeps under our camp or in the greenhouse/shop. He's more than...

I suppose I'm really just checking in. Howdy! It's almost 11 AM in California, and I'm only on my second cup of coffee.
It's still raining out. Last night's "big storm" brought some big rains and high winds, but life seems normal...

It's either the end of winter or the end of the world as we know it. I mean, I know we've been having some weird weather lately, but where did this thing come from? I don't think we've...
