Can you catch a virus from your computer?

I swear, we talked about the flu shot yesterday and I caught something while at the computer. I got a sore throat. Honestly it does not feel like the flu. Allergies and viruses are common all year around. I have a sinus headache and a kind of runny nose. It is probably allergies. I do not have a fever. Maybe I caught it from the discussion. The weather is changing a bit as well. It is overcast and it feel like it should rain. If I were to put stuff in the truck to take with us, it would rain for sure. All I had to do was to vaguely think I wanted a nap and the telephone rang. Maybe I will think about a nap again in a minute. Hope your Monday is going well.

Actually you can, especially if you share your computer like I do. However, the change in weather can cause one to have a headache and not feel well, I know that when it rains, I just want to sleep... Or let's just blame MyLot..

I do not share my computer, but perhaps just being so sedentary is causing a problem for me. I wish the rain would come if it really is going to happen.

No, I do not share. Others in our town that I am connected to are complaining about a bad allergy day, though.

Hello GardenGerty! Have you tried drinking a lot of water(like 1 liter every 2 hours) then exercise to allow yourself to sweat and drain the cause of your illness. The water should be lukewarm for you to release sweat easily.

It is supposed to rain, but as it moves east, it fades away so we haven't gotten much more than sprinkles. I want naps a lot. I quit taking my meloxicam due to negative side effects and my body is screaming no. I really need to inform my doctor about that. I did bake a cake~ a yellow one~ and threw some blueberries in it before baking. I also put some zucchini in the freezer. I really need to make some relish, but not sure I really want to. A nap does sound good.

You can not catch any illness from a discussion of it so you probably have been coming down with something for a while now. It sounds like you have allergies which I have also and take some Allegra for it and you will feel better. My Monday so far is kind of depressing with this rain pouring down.

I see the goldenrod growing and that tells me it is ragweed season. I wouldn't be surprised if you were just suffering from allergies. Maybe try an allergy pill and get some rest.

I think the position I sit in often makes my neck and shoulder hurt and can give a headache.

It is probably stress and being out of routine. Of course it could just be the time of year as well.

maybe there was a vibe left over from the goulies who like to play around when we're not lookin ....... I've taken to drinking mineral water with unsweetened lemon juice in the mornings before coffee, it seems to be helping me.

I'm thinking that sick people who wipe their runny eyes or noses could spread their germs onto a keyboard. Thankfully I am the only one who punches on this keyboard.

@Rollo1 The pollens are getting to you while you sit focused on the computer.. Maybe they have decided to attack you as you have been discussing on means to make them ineffective. Take care, get some rest and hope all is well with you.

I heard of a British scientist who deliberately infected himself with computer virus through a chip he implanted in his wrist. It was some kind of experiment. But I have no idea how it ended.
