Do you visit the posts of those who comment on your posts?

I am new here and still trying to figure out how to get around the site. My main way of finding new posts to read is to visit those who comment on my posts. Then I'll visit those who leave interesting comments on the new post I'm visiting. Do you visit the posts of those who leave comments on your posts?

We met on Bubblews, if you remember. Here, interactions are slightly different. If you get caught in one of the discussions, and other join in, it is almost like a party. At such times, it is difficult to visit others posts. But in general, people do try to visit others posts.

@TheHorse ..by good discussion, I don't mean something that requires profound thinking. Here people are around for fun. Therefore, it is pulling each other's leg sort of interaction. Delays or not enough response are inevitable.

@TheHorse ..no issue. You interact with others and return. In fact, we used to open four or five discussions at one go, and interact with that many simultaneously in the past.

Yes, a good discussion can keep your attention for awhile. But sometimes I'll wander away and then wander back.

I tend to respond more to members responding to my discussions than to people suggesting me discussions who have never responded or commented to mines. However, I don't check systematically the profiles, and I often miss interesting discussions.

Actually, I am glad they added that suggest thing. That should give us an idea about what our friend wants us to opine on.

@vandana7 Uhh... don't use it, ma'am! Not until you KNOW anyone following you want you to suggest things to them! Many of the people on this site view that as spamming them! NOT GOOD!

But, @topffer , you also respond to anyone mentioning you in another discussion, even if you weren't involved in that discussion before their comment! I do that, too... It has taken me to several discussions I really enjoyed! (Sometimes it still feels like the ladies ( @purplealabaster and @TexanTornado ) are dragging me around, but with them and a few others, I don't mind being dragged around!)

The "Explore" tab can prove useful at times, especially if you select "Recent Posts". Nevertheless, it certainly is difficult here to locate the members who compose the type of material that appeals to you. I would personally like to see a list of members. This would provide the option of methodically working through them during the quieter periods and checking through a few articles.

I use the tab "Explore" a lot, but also try to keep connected to people who have commented to me. I will go wandering from one discussion to another also.

@TheHorse Yes, pony, it can and often does happen that way... Or, you can just stumble over someone on this site who is willing to take pity on you.. When THAT happens, you get dragged all over Nature's green Earth into discussions you have no opinions on, but you are expected to say SOMETHING to keep the thread lively! I have so enjoyed every discussion I have joined, too! Just jump in with both feet, make a huge splash and have fun, dude! That's what I have been doing!

Yes, I've used "Explore" a few times. But I find that if I keep following commenters, and then see who has commented on their posts, I find other interesting posts.

@RasmaSandra I try to do pretty much the same. But I find that I miss some comments now and then. Fortunately, others have commented on the comments I've missed, so the conversation keeps going.

@TheHorse,Of course,I try my best to read, like and comment on their posts although it requires time.Time is something I lack.I have a very busy schedule. So much so that even on weekends I don't have time to stay online for more than an hour or two.Still whenever I somehow manage to get time,I never forget to read, like and comment on their posts.

I find it difficult to visit others, I usually just check the recent discussions. Not everyone posts discussions every day, and I have trouble just jumping in on their conversation.

@OneOfMany Actually, we become familiar with each other from their comments elsewhere. After some time, it is easier perhaps to be looking for them. For now, the people and explore sections are more difficult to travel for me. Hopefully, I will improve.

@TheHorse Well after your post I went around to about 10 of my connections and went to their last discussion on the list.

@TheHorse Actually, you might find an active discussion that way, and you might not... Take me, for example. I have only started one discussion... It is still active, but it is several days old! (Like almost two weeks, to be more precise.) We are still jumping in and out of it all the time. It is one big party!

I try my best to visit those users ' posts who join me in my discussions. If anyone is following me and interacting with me on my post, I make it a point to follow him/ her.

@vandana7 You are right that I am a virgonian. our friendship has nothing to do with me being systematic and you (claim) to be not systematic. It's (friendship) is deeper than anything else.

I haven't figured out the benefits of "following" or being followed here yet. But I do (if I remember) follow those whose posts interest me.

I am an old mylotter coming back after a long time. The first thing I do to regain interaction is to check at at least a post of the people that respond to mine and follow him/her.

I am very glad to see you back and responding on discussions, my dear friend! It appears that most of the people on our "friends list" from the old myLot were converted when they changed format, so you might already be "following" many of them.

It used to be I would try to comment in almost all that I could give a response to. However as time went on, I noticed so many are all about themselves. That I have started only interacting with those who wish to interact. Those in which understand the concept that things should go both ways.

Yes, it not only is a waste of time earning for them and not yourself, but it is also not very much fun when they do not return the interactions.

@purplealabaster I have a personal policy; I am not out to line the pockets of others just to be ignored or pushed to the waste side for it. To me it's not all about the earnings, it's about the people (how they treat you), connections made, and to be able to enjoy the concept in which mylot was formed from. Which is simple; Discuss and interact.

I try to! However, I'm not consistent with this. I find that if someone says something interesting in a comment they are quite likely to have started some interesting discussions themselves. I quite often use the "no responses" button to see what's new - which I how I found this discussion just now! I shall now look to see what else you have written and add you to my "follow" list.

Yes I normally do , it is only fair that I visit their posts and leave a comment...I also don't visit those who dont bother to comment back but just like a post because it is easier.I give them a fair chance and wait for at least two or three likes and then never comment on their posts ..

I toggle between people and explore and if I see a bud I might intrude on their discussion or I'll go to new discussions under explore and find an interesting topic.

@DaddyEvil I know I will have no problem when I get my act together (if I ever do) and can spend more time on here. People are so nice and I just want to stay on here all day and chat but I do have some things to do. When I was up north I would have and excuse in the winter (snow) to stay on the computer 24/7. I cannot get away with that here in Florida.
