I was thinking I was missing my old friends so I looked for you and found you here on myLot.
I've been writing on the internet for a long time first on Gather.com (now defunct) then Redgage (still around but not running fully and as far as I can tell. Then of course I joined Bubblews and I am still there but I wanted to know where all my friends went.
I am PaintsOnSlate here, and was that name on Redgage and Gather. When I signed up to that other site (Bubblews)I started as Paints.on.slate but needed to change my email and could not do it without help from support. I never got the help so I deleted what I could and signed up as Campinsnaity with a new email.
Happily I am back to my old name and those who know me, know that name is there because I do Paint On Slate for a living and love doing it.
I am looking forward to see you all again and being an active member of myLot.

I am glad you also joined here, if you look around you can see plenty of familiar faces. Some do not have the same username, but they have the same avatar, you can easily spot them. I am going to suggest your post to the bubblers I think you know, so they can find you.

@PainsOnSlate "myLot Code" also gives us the option to bold, italicize, or underline. It is a bit tricky, though, as we have to manually put the word(s) we want to bold/italicize/underline between the front and end code brackets [ ].

I occasionally saw you commenting on something on Bubbs, @PainsOnSlate , but I don't think we ever spoke to each other there?
I had never been on any kind of social networking site until I started on Bubbs, so didn't understand how one works... I often left people hanging on that site, not understanding that I should have replied to their sallies at conversation with me... I think (I HOPE!) I am getting better at that...
So, did you follow someone specific over to myLot? I did. I followed SmilePie... well, to be honest, I found myLot, made an account and started talking with anyone who would talk back to me here and then tried to invite SmilePie to join this site, only to find out that she was already a well established member here for years under the name @much2say !
You may or may not have already realized I tend to be a long winded old goat, but so far, only a few people have complained about that... I generally ignore anyone who doesn't like me putting down my full thoughts on something.
I do hope you have as much fun here as I have been! Nice to meet you!

If you start dragging me around to meet them, that would be fine with me! (You might realize that I do call attention to myself by calling other people I know to where ever I land, though!)

I wrote a post on Bubbles about missing my old friends and asking why the site didn't give us a way to connect privately with our "friends". @rebelann told me that myLot had the private message and I knew she was telling me where to go (in a good way) I will admit I'm blown away by the number of people I've know on line for years. from years ago to now that are here. When I had a power outage that kicked me off the site it was @rebelann and @jabo who contacted with myLot's help persons and I was only gone for less than a day and got the help I needed to get back on the site. (a misspelled in a hurry moment didn't let me return but it was explained and I was shortly back here.) I am long winded too and I think the two of us will be friends. its nice to meet you too.

Hello and welcome to mylot. You would be aware that it is different site than bubblews etc. and you get a fair chance to interact with other mylotters ( you could consider them part time authors)

@pgntwo Why do we change our names and photos? I find I do that often. I like being paints.on.slate because that is who I am in real life. Unfortunately it doesn't always work.

I've talked with you on Gather and Bubblews...
Mylot has always been my home, but of course for awhile I did leave it because it wasn't paying out. I tried Bubblews but it had it's problems. Now Mylot is back and so am I. I hope you enjoy it here!

@PainsOnSlate You're not alone. I'm working full time now so I am usually fairly busy too. I try to get on each morning at least, and I have a bit of time on weekends, so I do my best. It's fun here.. at least as much fun as other places, though I'm hearing Bubblews has been having a lot of problems lately.

@allknowing I do enjoy meeting people and becoming friends and enjoy the interaction and conversations shared. I wouldn't call it a "club". I call it enjoying what you do on the internet. Money cant be a reason to be here, it is not enough to live on. But the conversations is what makes this website fun. The money is a bonus.

@PainsOnSlate I think conversations more easily go 'on and on' here because we make money from all the comments we make and receive. On the other site, because we only made from comments received it was common for many not to want to say a lot on one site as it wouldn't necessarily provide that many more comments on their own posts.
I like it this way much better and hope this site can continue in this vein.

@PainsOnSlate For many if they didn't write enough posts, the comments would die off and the bank be at a standstill. So more posting was more money in the bank. Here it does't matter whether we post or not we still can make money.

Gather was so good and I was so sad to see it go down. Redgage was a joke from the start. It did run well and it was very frustrating. Glad you got your name and such figured out. This should be a good fit for you. Hope you enjoy your time here.

I got into Gather a long time ago when a niece worked for Gather. I joined Redgage because of being able to post photos and tweet them too. I made really good money on that site.I'm pretty sure this site is going to make me very happy.
