Food, Glorious Food

For some reason unknown to me, I decided to take a look at which were my top ten discussions so far, as far as responses from others go. I've only been here since 5 September and written 75 discussions, so it wasn't an overwhelming exercise.
And, do you know what, five of the top ten were about food. It seems to be quite a lure for potential readers here. Of the other five, two related to being online and three were about trivial daily events.
I found that interesting to give an indication of which discussions, of mine anyway, people tend to be drawn to. It's certainly not an indication of what I mostly write about. But that would be an interesting investigation as well.
Do you have any idea of which of your discussions seem to attract most responses? Or don't you care?

I think these are the topics that appeal to all.
If you talk about nuclear science, probably nobody will reply to the discussion.
When we use Mylot, we do not want to tax our brain too much.
So we tend to take part in discussion threads that do not require much thinking, and we must be familiar with the topics discussed.

My thousand page thesis 'the history of the paper-clip' will be our biggest attraction for sure - you'll see.

@arthurchappell I'm rather fond of paper clips, ever since I got pulled aside by airport security for having one in my pocket

I've only written 10 so my Top 10 is easy to work out! Food certainly does seem to be a popular topic here. Not too many people are ever going to be interested in what I have to say, but that really doesn't matter here as long as folks like your responses.

I am actually too lazy to figure out which of my discussions brings the most comments in the interaction.
I have noticed that my MyLot earnings have increased a lot faster this week, do not know the reason though.

The discussions that attract the most people are the ones that more of the users here have in common. MyLot discussions do quite well. It makes sense that food discussions would do well too, as we all have that in common.

Mine usually get quite a few and I am happy with that. Those look like very fancy cupcakes.

I see Children, tips, interesting information, and MyLot seem to draw the most attention on this site so far.
