Dang it. Back in jail again.

This is incredible. I am released from jail for shoplifting, and three days later, I'm back in the slammer. This time it was because the kid client I was with doesn't know his left from his right. He was going to show me a new way back home to his house. He said, "Make a right turn here." I made a right turn. He said, "I meant make a left." I pulled a u-turn, with a the help of a cul-du-sac to my left. I didn't see the Sheriff at the intersection on the big street where left and right gotten confused. The Sheriff trails me into the neighborhood, and eventually arrests me for an illegal u-turn. I tried everything I learned in Chris Rock's video, "How not to get your ass kicked by the police" (or something like that), but to no avail. So now I'm back to making license plates, when I should be sipping Scotch and writing on MyLot. Have you seen Chris Rock's video? I think it's utterly hilarious. It was made awhile ago, I think, and I hadn't seen it until a couple of months ago. If you're not from the United States, is this still funny?
Really funny video from the Chris Rock show on how not to get your ass kicked by the police. I know they are other versions of this on YouTube but this one i...

Common sense. I tell people all the time. Use your common sense. Well, I am beginning to realize that most people don't have any of it. Common sense is becoming rarer and rarer.

@nanette64 Why can't she learn to just go 4 mph over the speed limit?

@TheHorse I wish I knew. I asked her if she has bothered to add up what it's cost her so far. Attorney's fees, fines, having to attend driving classes, inconvenience. Was she willing to lose points off her license or maybe having the license pulled. It just zooms over the top of her head. In my 50 years of driving, I have gotten 1 speeding ticket and that was at the END of a construction zone. I didn't realize I had to wait so many feet passed the zone before I could start to build speed again. And that was my one ticket ever.

My sister is a perfect example of no common sense @celticeagle . She has more speeding tickets than 10 people combined.

My sister always gives the wrong direction. She might point at right, but she said left. I think that video is funny, but again, I think we should already know what we should do - obey the law and use common sense. Sad to hear from some people that "rules are made to be broken", which create the chaotic world.

@TheHorse Yes, I heard that often too. I learned to not think "common sense" as common to everyone, as many people do not know that.

Common sense is not a common as it should be. It really is funny how some people can give directions, while others only confuse. Even adults say things like "get in that lane there" without a gesture.

HEHEHE I'm beginning to think you have a crush on a police officer, since you seem to spend so much time in jail. Do we need to take up a collection for bail or do you have enough drinking money left over? I really like your little stories. Good luck in your predicament. I hope the boy made it home safely.

@TheHorse I guess you are really showing them the world. I'm beginning to think you either like the handcuffs or their is a woman you are seeing. You know you might want to ask her out instead of getting her to arrest you.

What's worse, some states disallow u-turns, others not... MN and WI, for instance. And don't get me started on Right On Red...

@TheHorse Vince got pulled up once in a little old car we had but the cop just wanted to let him know it was crabbing a bit and did he know. And that his dad had once had one of the same. Scared him though - Vince that is. I think it's not hilarious because, for me, just seeing police belting into people stops any laughter. Even if I know it's put on, it makes my blood run cold.

I was only kidding. A Sheriff did tail us for a bit. But I think when he saw an adult white dude in a new baseball cap driving really slow, and a black kid of about 12 riding shotgun, he decided we weren't criminals. Or maybe he had time to phone in my license plate number.

1) love the video, Chris Rock is crazy funny. 2) they locked you up for a u-turn? I should be doing life without parole! Cops have stopped me for: going the wrong direction on a street, speeding across a bridge, turning left on a red light, driving at night without lights on and other things I can't remember. Been lucky so far (knock wood), always got a warning.

Sounds like a blues song! Sigh, another criminal was shot by the police in Chicago recently, causing an uproar. I think criminals, and potential criminals, should watch this video over and over.
