I enjoyed so much the "paint a sky" challenge that I have decided to start my own "paint a donkey challenge" that will become even more viral with your help.
The rules are easier than for the "paint a sky" challenge : start a thread and attach one of your photos with the title "paint a donkey challenge".
If someone asks you where is the donkey on the photo, tell that it was behind the camera

Because I like donkeys. I spent several holidays with them in Guernsey
. I ate horse meat 1 or 2 times, but I did not liked it, maybe because it was horse, but I never ate donkey meat.
What can I tell about donkeys that you would not know 
? I have seen a 4000 years old kind of donkey skeleton on an excavation in France. It was probably a wild animal as they were supposed to not be domesticated in Europe at this time.

@Drosophila I have now a doubt about the "baudet du Poitou" as I read on Wikipedia that it is a true donkey. I am quite sure that it is a mule but I have to investigate more to conclude. I never had a donkey but a neighbor had one for his children in a field not far from my home when I was living in the countryside
. I am in a center of a city now, so it would be difficult. There is even no room for my car in the streets around my new house

Count me in always.... but wait. I do not have a camera 
But wait.... Are we talking about the 4 legged one that has now learned to use two of them as legs
A doubt - Wasnt Paint supposed to be with brushes, colors (or even crayons for starters like me) and canvas (or paper)!
The dictionary must have been updated recently as I still use the ancient one

@topffer Best not to ask me that or I might tell you. Let me just say that I might not come here much in the future ... or if and when I do I most likely will be limiting my time and interactions to strictly a few people on here who I know do not mind my sort of interactions.

@LadyDuck Your choice. I have nothing against a challenge where all photos would be posted under the same initial discussion, and this one was interesting until everybody started its own "paint a sky" discussion. The first day it was alright, the second day I started to be annoyed, and yesterday I was really annoyed when I wrote this discussion, and it rarely happens here. A challenge with several threads should be limited to 24 hours maximum, or it is not anymore funny.

I think i will decline the donkey is out to lunch but I am not quite sure what was so annoying about the sky photos, I found most of them quite extraordinary and after all you don't have to look at the posts. Those who do enjoy them will, that is what is so nice about this site. lol however I almost attached one to this comment since I too can be sarcastic!!

My husband belongs to a group called Cr*p Bird Photography. This post reminded me of the photos of blurred birds, just the wings or just the legs that appear on the site. It won't be hard to find a donkey especially behind the camera.

@nottoooldtowrite Have you never took selfies? I have. I think that we have to exclude selfies from the challenge, as there is nobody behind the camera.

@topffer I will check. Donkey usually takes selfies. I think that would be a problem if I share that in this chalenge. Donkey's identity will be revealed

What is a challenge after all. If the post was worded differently such as 'how about uploading your sunrise sunset pictures here' would have yielded the kind of results that you were expecting.
But when it is a challenge then a new post is called for. Right? .

I forgot to come back but I see you had lots of comments but no one wanted to be donkey today. This photo here we saw last summer while camping. The fork was about 6 feet over my head. I wondered how that donkey got it into the tree that high. Only a donkey would hurt a tree that has enjoyed its life for several hundred years. It won't kill the tree but I'll bet it said ouch when it entered the bark.
