Those danged squirrels. They just can't stop teasing poor Scar since they have figured out he can't...quite...reach them.
I even had one on the ground feeding in front of him earlier.
Poor guy...he doesn't understand it...all he wants to do is play...and love on them a bit...

@JolietJake Uhm... should I warn him of your plans? He might want to use those someday, you know!
If I did warn him, you might re-think your beddy-bye attire, or he might "fix" you, first!

@JolietJake Oh yeah, good plan. That would calm him down a bit too.

@TheHorse Uhhh... You survive because I keep taking you to the vet when @mommaj gets a hold of you!

Want some salted sunflower kernels?
*DE holds a handful of sunflower kernels out to pony, carefully keeping his fingers tightly together and as flat as possible.*
Get a finger nipped by a horse once and you never make that mistake again!

My dogs will chase every squirrel they see. They will try catching them, but of course the squirrels are just to fast, and climb up into the tree. My pom will stand at the bottom of the tree, and look up in the tree and bark it at.
She will also try to follow the squirrel by running along the ground, as the squirrel is running on top of the fence. She is persistent, I will give her that much.

@JolietJake Oh ok, I didn't realize he was on a leash . . . I thought the squirrels ran when he tried to get to them!

The leash was about 5 feet longer originally, I had to shorten it when he went up the tree after one of them, didn't want him to hang himself over a branch

@rebelann I had severe doubts I'd be able to use a lead with him, because he had spent his entire kittenhood proving to me he was the most spastic hyperactive demon imaginable, but it only took a few minute working with him to get him to accept it. He didn't even do all the jerking and panicked flopping around at the end of it that I was worried about, just got to the end and kept pulling...and pulling, and pulling until he finally decided that he couldn't break it. After that, it has been no problem.

@JolietJake Ah, that's better, thank you. I can clearly see that squirrel now, and he's completely unperturbed by the proximity of Scar! (I thought your squirrels were white?)

This should show it better, I had to shrink the other two a bit to join them together

@jaboUK We have grey, brown, and white in the city limits, with fox and a few blacks ones in the countryside

And this would be the case where "Love Hurts". They could give him rabies and he could give them a fatal "love bite"

@vandana7 Interesting. I have seen many a cat kill without eating what they kill. Sometimes they just play with the creature until it is no more. LOL My cat use to do that. She also use to kill things and leave them as "gifts" for us. UGH. I thought that was the most disgusting. LOL

The first day out on the leash, there were 3 or 4 of them up in the tree yelling at him, now they just quietly tease

They know it and teasing him
. When my cats are outside the birds do that and land ontop of the cage.
