It has been odd

During church today we could hear sirens around. It was the volunteer fire department. In fact they stopped and asked our church to pray.
We have lots of wind and dry grass. There were fires very near our town. Smoke filled the air.
I wonder if that depressed my appetite and made me tired as well. We ate a small meal around one. We did not feel hungry for my planned meal for tonight. An hour ago I still did not feel hungry but needed to eat to take my medicine.
I had a banana, and about two tablespoons of peanut butter, and four ounces of low fat milk. Not much at all for a meal.
Today has been a lazy day. I have had some interaction here, but could have more. I had a great surprise when an old friend stopped by the Lot. I have been to my other sites online, and need to finish one more and go to bed. I plan to go with my husband to work. I will take my laptop, and may get online.
Today just has felt odd, and the air is filled with the smell of wood smoke.

The fires did not make it into town. My guess is that they were along a rail road track.

@GardenGerty we have crazy people here in Latvia who burn the old grass every year and wind up burning down a lot more when it all gets out of hand.

I could smell it still when I went to bed. It was contained but the wood smoke certainly lingered.

@GardenGerty By then the smell would be on everything outside. Hopefully a wind comes thru and blows everything clean.

Today is the tomorrow we wrote about last night. I periodically go comment about former members hoping that they will come visit. Today I will go into town when my husband goes in to work. A friend of over thirty five years will be off work and we will go have coffee and a meal while I am in town. I will also do some of our shopping. I am trying to keep us accountable for not making extra trips in to pick up one or two items. I hope you are doing well.

@GardenGerty I am slowly getting better. Still trying to kick this dang head cold. Now I am worried that my allergies are soon too kick in with the trees about to bud.
I get this dang tooth pulled on the 22nd. Yay me. But, at least I won't have to worry about infection again.

You don't have to eat until you are chuck full. Odd day you have to take care of yourself Your gut instinct is telling you something.

@GardenGerty ....Do you write up a weekly menu including snacks and so forth? That way you would be responsible to that list and not deviate from it.

It is strange but understandable how you would feel like that GG. The air would affect you for sure.
Hopefully you can eat more tomorrow, sorry you did not have your dinner.

Eating small kept things uncomplicated. I think they got all the fires out as I quit hearing sirens.

It is good. I think the town more or less has to take care of itself. They do a good job.

I will do the milk and a spoon of peanut butter sometimes when I need to take meds and am not hungry

It's scary to be smelling all that smoke & hope no one was injured by the fire. Hope you're feeling better & have a better day tomorrow
