The Doctor says I'll probably live...

...and said to come see her again in November if I do.
The blood test came out positive for blood, so that's good as well.
My a1c (average glucose) reading is down to 7.4 from 10.3 three months ago, which the Doc said was real good, hoping to get it down below 7 next time.
Blood pressure still running a bit high, but not horribly so, cholesterol was okay (that's the one I really watch since my stroke last year), and no major organs are liquefying or anything like that.
And then it was off to the mechanic, and $90 later, my van got a clean bill of health, had to replace a right front brake line and caliper. I do like the fact that at least my brake was working, even though it didn't want to release...that's much better than not working at all.
So it looks like June begins with me and the van both in good health.

Good morning @JJ . I have another few weeks plus a vacation to wait through before they tap my veins.Brakes are working on all of our vehicles. Now if that pesky lawn mower will start, I will go burn some calories and cholesterol out in the yard. Good job on the readings.

@JolietJake That's because having a high cholesterol is asymptomatic as the doctor told me . That's why she monitors my cholesterol and the like, every 3 months .

@JolietJake My husband switched. The doctor told him that he needed to lose a certain amount of weight or go to a dietician (you go to them TO lose weight) and he was on 6 different medications-because we had full coverage for prescriptions. He saw him every 3 months, because of there were so many issues and he could justify billing for these appointments. After well over a year at the lower weight, and blood pressure there was no talk of him taking him completely off of the meds, although he had the dosages lowered, my husband just stopped going to him. He also stopped his meds all together. Then last month he had a health issue, so I found him a new doctor, he's been going to him now, had an EKG this week, was told no problems, good blood pressure etc and my husband scratched his head and suggested that our former doctor was just bleeding the system at our expense. I'm thinking of jumping ship to the new doctor also.

Last time I was getting my a1c down, I thought 'Well, this means I don't have to watch my diet as much now' which proved to be the wrong answer...
My doc seems to have a habit of only hearing what she wants to hear sometimes, which can be a bit irritating, but I guess I am not going to switch docs like I was seriously thinking of doing for a bit.

I had been scheduled every 3 months because of the diabetes, but they've slacked off some since I am doing better with it.

So far anyway. Looks like it may rain a little possibly, but I hear the birds through the window, and it isn't raining yet.

It sounds that the test results are not so bad ,especially you have kept the cholesterol you worried about in check.

I am so glad the doctor said your doing okay. =) That makes me happy to read! Sorry about the $90 mechanic bill though...
A clean bill of health for both is a good thing! Glad the month is starting out good for you.

I'm glad you'll live to entertain us another day. A1C was good. I'm fighting to get mine down below 7.0. Doc said I would be swallowing big horse pills everyday if I don't succeed. I'd rather leave the horse pills for the horses so the sugar has to go.
