What's your favorite pizza?

Almost everyone likes pizza. The varieties of topping are almost endless, and you can get them in almost any configuration you want. But that is not what this discussion is about. I don't want to know your favorite toppings. I want to know your favorite kind. Do you like carry-out? Delivery? Frozen? DiGiorno's? Or do you maybe prefer home-made? How about your favorite brand? Myself, I used to be a Domino's guy, but they closed, so I do Pizza Hut now. I'm only 6 blocks from one, so I can get it delivered good and fast, and I don't have all those dishes to wash after I eat.

I find that once I've eaten one pizza I have to another. And then another. I think they call it the Domino's effect!! [Exit stage left collecting coat on the way!!!]

@pgntwo I think I've done this one before but it's possibly worth another airing. What's the volume of a pizza with radius z and thickness a ? Volume = Area * Thickness = pi * z squared * a = pi * z * z * a = pizza

I was born in Italy, of course I like pizza. In the States I liked Pizza Hut, here we do not have big chains, I go to a Pizzeria, or I make it at home.

@JolietJake I have a wooden pizza oven and it is a real mess to make pizza at home. Continue to buy it at Pizza Hut.

I may break down some day and buy a couple pizza pans and stuff to make my own, but I hate doing dishes and my dishwasher divorced me

Our Domino's closed with no warning...even the employees didn't know...they showed up to work one day and all was fine, the next day the doors were locked.

I don't dislike domino's or pizza hut but they're overpriced for what you get. My favourite is a place called Chicago's and I've had pizza from there for a few years when visiting my sister in worcs. Now I live here and coincidentally chicago's is less than a 5 minute walk from me...but I haven't had one since I've lived here. Since I got the hotel job I haven't spent anything on food

We like the local pizza joint. You can find them on every corner in Jersey. Every now and then I do get a craving for Pizza Hut.

I like Pizza Hut, but the won't deliver to my house. The stopping point is the river, so when I don't mind driving I phone it in and go pick it up. If I'm to lazy to drive or busy around the house then I order Dominoes as they will delver, strange they are actually further away. I prefer Pizza Hut also as it's cheaper than Dominoes now, Dominoes used to be one of the cheapest. I like DiGiorno's to take to work, the stuffed crust ones are my favorite.

@JolietJake, it's not bad for a frozen pizza. I don't by any other kind of frozen pizza. Get them when they are on sale as they are expensive otherwise.

In all honesty, I would take any pizza . We normally carry out from Big Mama and Papa's which is just around the corner from us . . . or the whole one from Costco . . . but if we're at my parents we will get it from Papa Johns. I actually like those pizza places where it's kinda like Subway's and they toss what you want on your pizza right in front of you - then they cook it up in just a few minutes. We like Pieology for that. And frozen we get from Trader Joes - mostly for the kids - cheap and decent. See, I told you we just about take any pizza!

@JolietJake Once the kids and I got slices to go from WallyWorld . . . the boxes were cool as they were triangles for the single slices . . . but the pizza slices themselves were super dry and hard. We thought maybe the boxes would have tasted better .

I don't buy pizza from the chains, we get local pizza which is really good at several small local shops. Here in Connecticut, we have lots of second and third generation Italians who know their way around a pizza.

@JolietJake Hey your small town is bout the same size as mine, we have three Italian restaurants that do pizza and a fourth for higher end food. In the next town across the river, they must have 15 or more pizza joints. We are big on Italian food here of all price ranges. Of course, Middletown is a college town and college students eat a lot of pizza.

I'm in a small town (8,600) in the middle of nowhere, but Joe's is run by a family that immigrated from Italy years ago...well, Joe did, the kids were all born here. I haven't ate from there in years, too expensive for me, but long ago I did quite a bit.

if I could have whatever I want, it would be pizza from Cane Rosso's, they had this pizza called the Delia. (spicy bacon marmalade, roasted grape tomatoes, arugula, house-made mozzarella) it rather looked like a salad on a pizza, which normally I think is aweful, but this was absolutely amazing. We have only tried a few things on their menu, loved it all, but that most of everything else

Good that you are not asking for favorite toppings, as it's hard for me to choose. I have not tried many pizza restaurant before, but I usually go to Pizza Hut, as it's more convenient for us to go. I tried Domino's before, but the store we went is mainly for delivery, and I always prefer to dine in. I wish I can make my own pizza.

We always have ours delivered. We usually order from Flying Pie if it is just my daughter and I. We get the vegetable with bay shrimp on it. It comes on the wheat crust which I think is delicious. If all of us are going to eat it we order the Meat Lover's from Chicago Connection. It is okay and I can eat it. Sausage and pepperoni and hamburger. I like the deep dish pizza, not the thin type.

I prefer a thick/pan style pizza myself. We do have a locally owned pizza joint that does all-you-can-eat lunch buffets for $6, Boss and I go there for lunch occasionally when he's buying...I get FULL.

We rarely have pizzas but I quite like home-made ones as you can put plenty of whatever you like on them. They won't deliver to us but we sometimes get Dominos if we happen to be in Bunbury.

What happened to the first two posts? My favorite type of pizza it the one my husband makes. We have a pizza stone for the oven and he makes the dough from scratch. Toppings? Basil and garlic.
