Sorry for 'liking' your discussion but not saying anything...

...but maybe I did like what you said, but just didn't have anything to say.
But I showed my support for you by giving it a 'like'.
Which means I found it interesting.
Which also, if you interpret the earning FAQ page as such, means you possibly earned from it.
" If no one reads what you wrote, interacts with it, or otherwise considers it interesting, then you likely won't earn anything."
But I have seen many people upset that someone 'liked' something they wrote, but never responded to it.
So please...if you don't want me to 'like' something without responding to it, just leave a response here stating so, and I promise to never ever never 'like' anything you do again without at least leaving a snarky response.

I've seen a few of these sorts of posts lately. I'm glad you don't always expect a comment because some of your discussions I find hard to respond to but I'm a bit scared of the snarkasm if I like and run so I mostly find something to say. You can like and run on my discussions if you feel you must.

I used to have a policy of "liking" a post if I bothered to read and leave a comment. Lately, I don't seem to be following that rule. I blame the content of posts that inspire me to respond but the content of which is very objectionable to me. I just can't "like" what I read. And the opposite case occurs, where I like the post but don't comment. I figure it all works out in the end.

I was always very diligent about leaving likes when I responded, but lately I find myself forgetting and having to go back to the discussion...unless, of course, it is something I absolutely did not like.

I don't always notice who has liked it, but I sometimes get 30 responses and only 20 'likes', although then again, sometimes I get more likes than responses. I just don't quite understand why some members get upset if someone 'likes' but doesn't respond.

@JolietJake With my posts , i noticed that they have more responses , but lesser likes . But anyway , some are not into the habit of liking first , but simply just responding .
But i don't get upset if someone likes but doesn't respond . It means what he has to say has been already said , maybe .

Yes. Thankfully, they have to open it to leave one...they can't just run down the lists 'liking' everything, they have to put some effort into it

@JolietJake Especially lately with the dodgy wifi I've started writing a response and the internet goes off for an hour or so.
Now I often just like discussions if I'm interested but not VERY interested...I prioritise my time a lot more these days.

I don't do them often in discussions, but sometimes I just really don't know what to say...I give them to all responses even if I don't say anything just so the person knows I did read it

I'm grateful if someone likes or comments - doesn't bother me! =)
People should be grateful their discussion is noticed and someone took their time out to hit that little like button. That's a lot of work according to some people!

I'd 'get it' if we earned for giving likes, but hell, they are earning for receiving them...next thing you know they'll be complaining because they got paid at work

I have stated many times that I read far more discussions here than I respond too.
I'm from the old mylot guidelines "read all the responses before leaving one as to not say the same thing as everyone else."
So after reading the discussion, I read all the responses, I like the ones that said what I would have said or ones that I found humorous. In the past few days I have noticed that I'm not liking as many things here as I used to. I also believe that liking and reading peoples discussions earns them something, I have no idea why people would be opposed to earning from my liking something, especially with so many claiming to earn slowly.
I could respond to some discussions with " You're an idiot" or "What a moron"
however, I'm pretty sure that people would be offended by that also. (Snarkasm)
Thank you

I don't find there is anything wrong in liking without giving any response...It us better not to write anything rather than writing absurd stuff..
What do you think?
