"Someone must bump him off"

I had to look twice to make sure I wasn't seeing things.
I've been seeing LOTS of stuff that bothers me.
From both the 'right' and the 'left'.
But that is uncalled for.
I haven't 'unfollowed' anyone on facebook because of how they feel politically...but I unfollowed plenty of people yesterday that are showing how stupid they are.
"Obama is not going to leave the Whitehouse"
Stupid.
Unfollow.
"Trump is exactly what we need"
Disagree...BUT not unfollow.
"Someone needs to bump him (Trump) off"
Stupid...AND dangerous.
Unfollow/unfriend/BLOCK
And some people thought the idiocy would end after the election.
Looks like it may just be beginning...

I think it might be time to look for a rock to hide behind. It's possible (not likely) that Trump will surprise us and make a remarkably good president. (Did I just say that?)

You never know if someone is going to rise to the challenge until you give them the chance. Well, Trump has his chance. Let's see how he does. And if he sucks, well we'll just vote him out of office in 2020.

People are scared. That's anger and fear talking! I don't think it's childish. Granted that Trump won fair and square and they could accept the election results. But the events that happened throughout the campaign regarding Trump and by Trump....... I was already expecting something to happen....no matter who has won.
If Clinton has won, protests would have still been there but I have a feeling much more violent.... since they would mostly be Trump supporters.
The unrest was already there!

It's almost certain that someone will try to assasinate him. Every president since Kennedy has been the subject of more than one assassination plot, so the statement "Someone must [try to] bump him off" may be true in that sense. Of course, if you read it as "Someone ought to bump him off." then that is a horse of quite a different colour!

It is what it is. We just have to give it a try. He is a good business person, and that is partly what we need. For all of those who posted "If Trump wins I'm moving to (Insert country of choice here)" I say good riddance! Why haven't they packed and boarded a plane yet?

@NJChicaa I am not even in America and neither I am an American ...MY fb is full of it. smh! No Clinton posts now. All are anti-Trump! People are circulating twitter posts from Trump supporters. For example... If Trump wins, I will grab the first w**** by p**** to celebrate
Suffice to say, Anti-Trump people are reacting to it. It's a battle out there in the comment section!
..........Then I don't know whether it's true or not....... Pence saying "I am a Christian first, a Conservative and a Republican......in that order." and stopping birth control/abortions (?) since it's anti-Christian. (according to the report Pence said) Not to forget anti-gay statements/laws (?)
That was another battle right there!
Either someone is deliberately releasing such stuff to cause unrest or this is all true. In any case, this whole situation just sucks!

@Daljinder Best way to know is to talk to "someone"... reading on social or mainstream media is plain misleading, even if it's easier to form an opinion.

@JolietJake well trump may end up in prison, I love how she was investigated and they found nothing, but trump is going to trial on RAPE charges, and his VP scares me as much if not more

I will admit to quipping a month or so back that maybe we'd get lucky and Donny and Hilly would both die the day before the election, but suggesting someone needs to 'bump them off' is a little too much for me

The hypocrisy is astounding. Trump's supporters are accused of being extremists, racists, etc., but the real violent extremists and racists are his opponents. They have proven it beyond a shadow of a doubt by the riots and attacks of the last few days, and all the true hate speech online (like you quoted).

Take it from me this is just the beginning.
Over 4 months after the UK referendum on EU membership we are still dealing with idiots on both sides of the argument who seem to think the word 'debate' means shout louder than your opponent and insult their intelligence at every available opportunity.

A lot of people will say stupid and dangerous things online but Trump has also said a lot of inflammatory and dangerous things publicly during his campaign. I think that it people want to protest in the streets in a peaceful manner then they should be allowed to do this. Trump, in my opinion, has never shown any signs of being suitable for a presidential role but I hope that he has a strong and intelligent team behind him.
I don't think that anyone will actually try to assassinate him. I think that the political groups he attracts are actually the most extreme and most likely to be moved to violence.
